A Word from the Monarch
With the NationStates summer lull in full swing, we're in a bit of a slow spot. Pride month, summer elections, and the flag change are all behind us, while the Summersend Festival, autumn elections, and the first possible stirrings of action in the legislature are ahead of us. But for now, things are slow, so what can we do but have a clip show? For those who don't know, when TV shows needed to make a quick or cheap episode, they would write stories with little to no plot that mostly involved showing clips from past episodes, thus the clip show.
For our clip show, I thought it would be fun to revisit some of the most popular topics on our forums in the first half of the year. In the true spirit of clip shows, the ranking is grouped by theme rather than rank, though the rank is included as well. So with that being said, lets take a walk back through memory lane!
Werewolf
Anyone who reads
Wintreath in Statistics won't be surprised that Werewolf makes up the majority of our forum activity. Introduced to Wintreath by
Michi (
Penguin Dictators) in 2015 and popularized by
Ruguo in 2020, Werewolf has been the most active component in Wintreath since then. Even game signups and technical discussion topics made the top list, showing just how dominant Werewolf is in Wintreath.

Roleplay
Svipjoth's revival of the RP Guild has brought active roleplays to the forums for the first time since 2015. These numbers may not look impressive, but remember that the guild was only revived in May, meaning it had less than 2 months of activity by the end of June. Each month brings a new official RP, and members can create unofficial RPs as they want to, so look for RP to have a strong presence in any other future clip shows!

Discussion and Sharing
Most of our discussions have long-since moved to the Discord, but we still have a few breakthrough and active topics. Say What's On Your Mind and Music Recommendations go back to the very start of Wintreath in 2013, and are still going strong. The 8Values Political Quiz was our latest effort to map any changes in the ideology of our community, compared to when we ran the quiz in 2019 and 2017. Last but not least, it should be no surprise that Wintreath's Most Mentioned member (TFB #40) also had the most popular Ask Me Anything topic

Misc
And then there's everything else: government topics, games that don't quite have the activity of Werewolf, and other various topics. While not a terribly active aspect of Wintreath, the idea of virtual families continue to intrigue people, which is why the Frostlake Orphanage remains relatively popular. We also had some discussions this year on giving greater purpose to families in the community, but for now families remain more a concept that capture's people's imaginations than a functional part of Wintreath.

The Welcome WagonAloha to our new and returning Citizens!
Unfortunately we had no new or returning Citizens this week, but if you would like to become a Citizen of Wintreath, all you have to do is join our forums and then fill out
this form. Citizens gain full rights under our regional constitution, gain access to Citizen-only areas of the forums and Discord, and can participate in our government from our all-Citizen assembly to the Cabinet that runs the day-to-do operations of Wintreath.

Wintreath Debates "The Stigya Commendation Act"Svipjoth has started drafted this act, which seeks to commend
Stigya (
The Stigyan Triumvirate) for his contributions to Wintreath as Founder of the Wintreath Allied Regional Protective Pact, Thane of Regional Affairs, and as Jarl of Regional Affairs. It's the first bill that's been taken up by the legislature since the dissolution of the Storting in early 2021, making it a historic occassion for the region.
Nominations for Summersend Theme are Open!The Summersend Festival is Wintreath's annual festival and culture showcase, where we celebrate the end of summer and the coming of autumn! We usually have all kinds of games and events, and it's often where we introduce new games such as SpamWars / Clickwar (2018) and Mage Wars (2019). Nominations are open for the theme of these year's event, so let us know by August 1st if you have suggestions that you'd like to nominate!
