I'm thinking we could progress by having all the nobles gathered for the King's funeral, and straight afterwards have them begin discussing a potential way forward.

Could I still take part in this here RP? And if so, do I have to start with an allegiance to a faction if my character is a foreign mercenary?

Hey, Fortis. We've kinda figured out a few paths. You can be a completely independent mercenary or non-noble character if you don't wish to join any Wintreath families, you could join a House in Wintreath and then be part of said House in the RP, or you could join Doc or Crush's factions if none of those sound desirable.

I think I'll start as a completely independent Merc. 

I love how players have been using the same starting format I've been using with the basic setting information in bold at the top of each post long after I went away. I started using that for sci-fi nation RPs to keep from confusing players when jumping between settings and characters. Interesting to see how it has stuck with people here.

Oh, yeah, this comes all the way back from PvC, doesn't it? Shit, I miss that RP.

Actually, I think the first instances were during the AH region RP.

Im just loving the world already. So hyped for character interactions because reading the posts gives great descriptions of each one of you guys so far ^_^

Sure, why not. I would quite like the image of Marinia, Malediction and Aragonn having a heart to heart at a funeral.
