So now that Laurentus will be absent, how should we move on without Marinia?

Considering Marinia was the lead character for House Valeria, I have no idea.

With the rate the RP has been progressing at, I might be out of the blues by the time the funeral is over.

That said, you might be able to pull it off where there is some sort of assassination attempt on Marinia, and he moves into the shadows for a bit, leaving Aragonn to run things in his name while he sorts it out.

The assassination attempt could then simply be unrelated to the conflict at hand, but rather an old grudge some unnamed party wanted to settle.

Just an idea though.

Hmm, it appears a mod accidentally moved the IC thread to the archives.

It was probably Moot when he created the subsection for DSW. The RP hadn't seen any action for over six months anyway.
