Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Some things and some stuff.

Who doesn't have stuff things and some stuff on their minds.

I wonder what it takes to really connect with people...be somebody that they talk to and want to get to know. I try to be sociable, and be interesting, and have things to say, but it still seems to be a struggle to get most people to be interested enough in me to want to talk to me on a regular basis. Maybe I'm just a bore...or difficult to hold a conversation with...or difficult to tolerate at all. =/

From what I know you are a really interesting and fun person to talk to, at least online... The way I see it, for me, if people don't want to talk to me or aren't interested in me or what I say, then it does upset me, but I don't let it get to me; and with you especially if they don't want to get to know and talk to you it's their loss.

I'm fine...don't worry about me. I just get this way sometimes. I just think that I know a lot of people, but I can't seem to strike up conversation with most of them, which leads them to just being people I know of, really. The other day I was in a pretty good mood so I tried to message some people on Facebook...people I used to talk to, but then we drifted apart. None of them lasted very long...a few dozen messages sent back and forth at best. I guess I was hoping for at least one true re-connection.

I know that -- for me, at least -- some people are just not very good at basic conversation. Unless it's about something that really interests me, when someone tries to talk to me, I just don't really know how to talk back other than with very simple answers and then asking the same question back to them.

Also, I'm just not really interested in most people as nobody ever really stays around long enough to take the time and put in the effort to have a true connection with. Having my closest friends from grade school be the groomsmen at my wedding was awkward enough since we hadn't really talked since we graduated. And I'm lucky to have started dating my wife in high school because I would otherwise have a really difficult time with that.

But I don't think most people really have that many actual friends when they become adults. It's something you really have to put time and effort into, so you either do it for a very small group or you just don't do it.

So, basically, I wouldn't take it personally.

I don't really like much of anything about 'becoming an adult', which might explain why I act the way I do sometimes. To me becoming an adult means becoming old, boring, stuck in one's ways, unwilling to grow or expand, settling down and just being a cog in a machine until death. None of which I want...so it's hardly surprising that this wouldn't appeal to me either.

If nothing else, I try to maintain a lively personality and attitude. I feel like it keeps me young in that way at least. ^^

Youth is merely an illusion that passes us by like shades on the ever winding road of life. Maturity is growth, growing up is confinement - I liken it to pruning a tree into only one particular shape rather than letting its branches stretch outwards and upwards in as many directions as possible.

I don't necessarily agree...I think at least where it matters age is mostly mindset. I think over time a lot of people get complacent, lose that hunger and drive, and become content with settling down and conforming, but I have to say I feel more myself and more driven at 30 than I did at 20.

The physical...eh, someday science will solve that one. Not horribly concerned.

I'm addicted to reading, lol...I like to read in the back room because it has the AC and my comfy chair, but it has no clock. So tonight I planned on reading for an hour...turned out to be more like three hours.

What is complacency if not denying yourself new avenues of growth, trimming your metaphysical 'tree' away from branches which might have led to future contentment?

Some trees grow to great heights but never spread their canopies, whilst others live only short lives yet seem to seek to spread their leaves across all the world.

If you're having fun and are happy, why care about getting older?
