  • Since it was also mentioned on the discord, I'm also super curious what the "medical anomoly" was that was "cured."  Do we have a poison and poison healing type role?

  • My best guess would be that Doctor House/Who role had a separate goal that they were able to achieve but as I don't think I'm going to discover any information or do anything about it I'm going to ignore it.

  • That being said, I do think it's a bit early to be shooting shots at folks until we get a bit more, and use this round to get some ideas that we can hopefully use in D2.

And since there's no rules on no lynch voting nor any regarding any limits, I'm going to

    Vote: No Lynch
Don't love the explicit NL, but things may have changed back in favor of 'don't risk killing town' instead of 'maximize information' since I last played a year ago, so I'll read this as NAI.
alright, first off how did you all become pollititions all of a suddon? and profeshinal writers at the same time?  I may be stupid and new, but i think that you are all just grasping at nothing. Like where is the evidence? you just write and write! like me now! If you are going to present someone make it clear and don't hide it behind paragraphes! Just put it out here with bullet points.

RIght now i am susspishous of CoD, the fish king, becase they type so much and it anoyes my eyes and makes me sleepy.
on god this post made me sus this man hard only to realize I was subbing for him lol

I mean 90% of my game content is memes. You can meme and have fun but trust me when I say this,  you will get killed doing that. I was a day 1 policy lynch for several games because I played like that so you need to reconcile how you want to play with the reality that you need to contribute to not die.

However you can find a middle ground I play memey fun times while also pushing what I see when I see it
this is technically my day one, should the policy lynch return
No, it shouldn't, because it seems like 1) lots of effort to drive content and thus data and thus potential info, without really directing votes in the way I would expect someone trying to powerwolf would be doing so, and 2) hella effort put in for solves, even if I think you're tunneling hard on Corbin and thus by proxy me, but tunneling tends to be town behavior motivated by misreads or overemphasized but ultimately insignificant info.
what have I become, I'm not autovoting Abi

    ...
“Oh, and I am pleased to hear that the medical situation has been resolved. Health is always important, after all.”
    ...
No one was killed in the night.
    The medical anomaly was cured.
So the first mention of a medical anomaly is that it's been resolved? That's...odd...? I'll look back through the other announcements later this afternoon to be sure nothing Truly Fucky is happening.

My reads for the moment (subject to extensive review because 2 hours of reading this posts is a mindmelter so I'm almost certainly wrong as fuck about half of these)
    1. Melehan (town-leaning) (consistently probing at other people's reasoning even when said reasoning appears to clear them is either Insanely Risk-Friendly Scum Play, or Town that is chasing that solve hard and doesn't want lazy pseudo-clears but solid, mechanical ones; Mel has been a great player in my memory and I'm more inclined towards the latter than the former; however the Gerrick Vote knocked her down from what I considered like diamond-hard town to a lean, because either that is a pretty dumb mistake (not something I associate with Mel, but at the same time they've observed they've got Shit Going On IRL) or an attempt at a low-key lookout kill)
    2. Michi (scum-leaning) (KoD's argument about providing 'analysis' of rules or roles without actually trying to attach that information to players and thus by proxy solves is a hallmark of my Wolf play, and I can 100% see Michi doing it too)
    3. Abbi (town-leaning) (As above, I think Abbi was just tunneling on Corbin; I'm not wholly convinced that she's Town (and I will never be even if she dies and is mechanically cleared, Abi is simply too chaotic), but I think it's fairly probable) (The Gerrick situation is very confusing to me; on the one hand he says she is fairly definitively Chief Wolf, on the other hand she attempts to flip to KoD to save him (since it would otherwise have been 3:3 and a coinflip, it instead became 4:2) only for...whatever power that was to activate and lynch Gerrick anyway; I'm not familiar with half the roles that have been revealed so far but the fact that he says there was the Dolby visit and then Abbi visits Aersoldorf seems suggestive to me..? Is there some kind of role that can do that?)
    4. Svipjoth (town-leaning) (Plays like I'd expect a new Town player to play)
    5. Dolby (scum-leaning) (largely based on how they've lain low as fuck, which is classic scum play, but also my wild speculation about weird roles now; sorry if it's not true bruv I just have no meta for you)
    8. Kane (scum-leaning) (My day 1 read says scum; my day 2 read says town; my day 3 read will resolve itself over the course of the day ig)
    11. KingofDominaria (scum) (initially townread, hard, but once I got to the part where he somehow flipped himself from lead wagon to lynching Gerrick, back onto him, then still wound up with Gerrick dead, I'm vastly more inclined to believe he's powerwolfing, and I think at least 1, if not both, of the other scum were likely on the wagon with him)
    13. Vroendal (substitute for Joslisonoria) (town-leaning) (what up, fellow sub; I have very little on you but your night posts seem legit)
    14. Doc (substitute for Corbin) (Gigachad, obviously town, perfectly reliable, trust everything he says N/A)

and now for the posts that came after I started this

I would not receive separate notifications, however, I do know for certain I was visited last night by multiple people.
I mean...you're not dead, so unless you're bulletproof somehow (you did observe your ability is blocked if you're targeted, so is it part of your ability, or something someone else had to do for you), one of those people visiting you was probably a defender...? So the followup is 'do you know how many', or was it just 'multiple'?

Cool cool. This kinda just leaves Kane, Svip, and Doc in my immediate PoE right now with Michi just on the outside (I buy Neon's theory that he's the kingmaker but on reflection I'm not sure if a killing role that's able to decide the vote for every phase would be balanced so I'm more leaning town on Michi but this is also a bastard game so idk), and with KoD/Neon town-leans that self-resolve at some point. I haven't seriously looked back at what happened previously so I'll leave off on a vote for now until I have, vibes have me voting Kane though.
aw come on, I didn't even do anything
Nah, makes perfect sense, Corbin was pretty sus lol, if I wasn't taking over for him I'd sus him too

  • Now that I have gleaned some information from my own ability, Melehan's level of information from the first two days seems even more suspicious than it did after they first pointed it out. I am an alignment cop and investigated them last night because of them being one of the players I am suspicious of. They seem to be leaning scum according to this.

While I understand that I seem suspicious to other players, this is why I emphasized a lack of information in my earlier posts. Because I investigate alignments, the reason I never mentioned that earlier aside from concerns about being targeted by scum at night was because my first investigation was blocked. I suspected that saying my night action was blocked would draw a large amount of suspicion towards me:P.

  • Because, like, I'm not sure why a full alignment cop would get a result that "seems" to "lean" scum. If you're telling the truth I want to hear the specifics since you're outing. Depending on your answer, the town may just be given the two choices of chopping either yourself or Mel, which would be nice to simplify things a bit.

Do you think you were blocked N1 by NoName? If so, why?

  • I can't go much more specific than I am about to go because then I would be violating the PM reveal confidentiality rules.

I stated the result "leans scum" because the result was that Melehan is Neutral. That alignment of course does not have to be scum which is why I listed them as "leaning". For the purposes of this game though, it seems reasonable to assume they are scum because the neutral role we saw was named The Killer on N1 when they killed NoName.

I am not sure why I was blocked on N1 though I would not be surprised if it was NoName that did it since they were the Town Escort. I suspect they were suspicious of my being a killing role since I had been viewed with suspicion throughout much of D1 and decided to try blocking me in case I was. I also suspect that my relatively high post count during that day phase was another reason since I know that it is not an unusual tactic among experienced players (from having read their own posts in other games) to use investigative and other abilities on players that are active. Of course the same can be said about other players but that is simply an easy to observe pattern. However, the fact that there were two kills that night which were not blocked seems to weaken the argument that I am a killing role.

  • Alright so information-wise we have:

    - Neon claiming hider and having hid behind Aers.

    - Gerrick, as confirmed town, having seen Dolby visiting Neon while Neon, verifiably, visited Aers.

    - We know the mafia hit Aers, and that this target wasn't affected by being transported via the role of whichever NoName or Aers had Transporter or w/e. Context: I claimed to have been a transported target. Further context: Given how long it took me to realize I was targeted, and the fact no one else came forth, there are two conclusions -- the first being that the other person targeted was mafia (thus why no one else came out with the clarification), and two the other target was one of the dead (NoName or Aers); however, that brings forth some targeting issues (mostly with Aers though I haven't looked to see if NoName was the Transporter because I feel the point made by .. Neon? .. that the Transporter likely wouldn't transport themself should hold true in terms of likelihood).

    Either way.

    - Mele claims to have been targeted by both kills (no deaths occurred no less).

    - Kane claims some sort of investigation on Mele (leaning scum -- partial result seems odd so I echo Vro's sentiment here in terms of clarifying so we know whether or not we have a hit via Kane's role mechanic or not).

If I missed anything please point it out. Now then, I'd like to focus on the whole targeting surrounding Neon that Gerrick verified for us. Because, and keep in mind, Aers was killed, and we have two different types of targeting going on here surrounding Neon. Now, Neon claims hider. Typically the hider would be bulletproof or something while hiding behind their target, but should their target die, then the hider dies. That's the classic role. Some variations have different effects like abilities being copied from the person being hidden behind onto the hider, or, as Neon said, the hider only dying if they hide behind scum. There's other variations as well. The main thing of interest here is that we know, based on Gerrick's truthful claim (by virtue of him dying as town), that Neon targeted Aers and that Dolby targeted Neon.

Now, and please feel free to correct me if I am still wrong, but I haven't necessarily read anything from Dolby to explain why he targeted Neon nor has Neon, to my knowledge based on what I've read of her posts, claimed anything about her being targeted causing the effects to go through to who she is hiding behind (Aers in this case). It would stand to reason, as far as I am concerned, that, potentially, Dolby targeted Neon to kill Neon, and due to Neon hiding behind Aers the kill, instead, hit Aers.

Either that, or Neon is lying about being a hider and actively is scum that hit Aers, but that wouldn't explain what Dolby was doing targeting Neon let alone why he hasn't said anything further on the matter.

As such, this should be the ***major*** point of discussion we should be evaluating rather than letting slip by due to whatever else is going on (such as the quasi-scum lean result Kane has on Mele, and Mele claiming to have been targeted by both NKs as that seems like a bundle of issues in and of itself in trying to resolve without further information/discussion).

    Vote: Dolby

    * * * * * * * * * * *

    @ Doc:

Are you blaming me for Gerrick being lynched when there was only two votes on him (myself and Michi) when deadline came? Because as I read how you see me, it looks like that's the case on top of some weird interpretation of the events. Like, I switched my vote from Corbin to Gerrick and the post wherein I voted as such was quite clear as to why. So you find it odd that I left what, at the time, was the lead wagon to pursue Gerrick (prior to his claim) and you find that scummy? In a vacuum I assume since that seemingly ignores the whys of my post. And what is this accusation of power wolfing? Because, again, Gerrick got lynched over me? If that's the case, then the reasoning seems pretty two fold for justifying your stance there:

First, that I was power wolfing because I knew Gerrick would get lynched over me, thus making it assured that someone had to use a unilateral vote control ability to literally usurp the lynch to make sure Gerrick was lynched over me. That is, strictly speaking, you think that that ability is in the hands of the mafia as opposed to a town as, typically, an ability like the Kingmaker is typically town or, at least, 3p in nature. But hey, I suppose you could have a vote control ability of that nature paired with night killing too for the mafia. Dissonant as that is anyway.

Second, the team would exactly be Michi and myself. The reasoning being that in order for me to have survived that, a Kingmaker's vote typically decides the lynch (and either myself or Michi would be the Kingmaker in this circumstance). That, or alternatively someone had a Kingmaker-esque ability that could be used in such a way without having to out themself and they purposefully made it so only Gerrick could be lynched though that seems eh to me. Possible, but eh since that leaves verifying it, without a claim, nigh impossible outside of the fact that it happened. And, just so we're on the same page, I shall reiterate that I am not the Kingmaker or have any ability.

All that being said, your content post there does much to alleviate a lot of how Corbin first came off in the thread to the point where I'm comfortable reading your slot as town. This is strictly based in the amount of effort and thought you put into reading into what happened and giving analysis on it (though your conclusion on me, for sure, is wrong). Neither here nor there though, you have redeemed yourself in my eyes.

    @ Michi:

Grill me over? Might as well have a conversation while we're out here talking.

  • A neutral result is just as good as a red check.

At the very least, it indicates 3p, obviously, and so far we know there is a Killer that isn't part of the mafia.

  • Intresting. I wonder if you get info similar to mine where it will tell you if your targeted but not give you info on who targeted you.

That's what my ability does kind of. Accept my ability only tells me if I'm targeted by a killer when I hide.

Which by the way since Tracker verified Dolby visited me Dolby is at least cleared as a killing role.
According to Neon here, she would have been told if a killing role targeted her and the implication is that she was not told so.

  • So, I did start the game as 3rd party, and my alignment and role were determined by who visited me. Sort of like an amnesiac, but with what I wound up with completely out of my control.

A bunch of you visited me last night, and RNGesus had to come into play.

I am now Town Doctor #2.

Ooh, that sounds fun! I believe the role, and I want to believe you are now town.
You probably still have to be chopped though, as you are no doubt aware. Do you have any strong suspicions or directions to point us in other than you today?
