I will vote nay just for the heck of it.

Oh are we not doing secret aye/nay votes?
I mean I guess they're not secret secret in Avalon because you see them once everyone has voted, but the point of having them initially secret is so you can't influence anyone (e.g. Perceval copying Merlin, the Minions copying each other).
But I guess that would be hard to coordinate. Sacrifices must!

It's like with Werewolf, traditionally in person you'd all vote simultaneously so it's effectively secret, but converting it to forum format makes that difficult. So like with forum Werewolf I've merged it into the discussion.

Does this vote have to be unanimous to succeed?  If not I will vote nay just for the heck of it.  If yes then I will vote yes.

I strongly urge that everyone please read the rules. They should be fairly straightforward (I hope, at least).

Hmm, looking at the way 10KI does things, they've done the vote both publicly and by PM, and do wait for everyone to send in their votes before proceeding. That can make a round last over a week however and potentially fizzle out the game, which won't be good for a more condensed Summersend game. Would definitely be worth trying in the future though.

The church officials watch as the three cooks come forward with their dish.

"We have some potatoe skins for you to get started with," one of them said.

The clergypeople take a few bites.

"Quite good," one says. "Wait, are those diced tomatoes at the top? Unacceptable!"


The mission fails with 1 fail vote.

(I've never seen stories with Resistance/Avalon, but thought they'd be fun to try with this theme. )

Look, guys, I know you have no reason to trust me but I am innocent. I'm not the bad guy here. Which means that the evil person might well be one of two of the most successful manipulators and wolf/bad guy players in Wintreath. Which is not good.

What ever we do, we cannot nominate Hydra, Doc or myself again. As far as the rest of you know, one of us is a traitor and since I know it's not me it has to be Hydra or Doc. Do not, I say again, do not trust anything they say, one of them might be good but one of them is most definitely a traitor.

...yes, the fact that I've been caught every time and killed every game does speak to me being among the most successful manipulators and wolf players.
That or you're confusing being prolific with being successful.

That said, ordinarily, while I would agree with North, the fact that he's rather more active than normal, and loudly proclaiming he has no idea what's going on at every turn, suggests to me he's scum.
I further posit that he's loudly engaging in character assassination both to discredit the person who's genuinely got experience with this ruleset and is providing advice (me) by virtue of using my name four times in a single post (unnecessary), and most likely, because he's the Closet Tomatoist/Oberon and is very loudly trying to signal his role to the other Tomatoists because he doesn't know who they are, nor they him.

If that's what you think, you misunderstand my point. I'm saying that none of us, You, Hydra and myself, should be trusted. One of us is certainly a bad guy. And while you do get caught a fair amount you have also won a fair amount of games like this. And it hardly helps that Hydra is the other option, you cannot deny that Hydra has a reputation as a strong bad guy player. So with that in mind, none of us should be trusted, myself included.

I almost have to wonder if North dared to serve the tomatoes. He seems rather jumpy... and his cheeks are flushed! My my, you're as red as a... I daren't say it.
