I've unofficially decided to take charge of drawing up our region's lovely map. It's going to be an original, fantasy world. If anyone has any particular requests, post them below within the next few days or so and I'll try to accommodate them. After that I'll post a concept map from which people can start claiming areas on a first-come, first-served basis.

Feel free to post any other ideas, as well.

I thought a lot about drawing a regional map. It's good know someone share my passion to cathography.

 here is my requests

- citizen of wintreath only!!!!!

- Big nations gets larger map size.

- Monthly update, since we are a quickly growin region

- expandable map

- suitable to our regional theme (nordic/feudal)

I agree with the Black prince. But by citizens, do you mean people registered as members on this website?

only forum member citizens' nations should take place in our regional map,

spend time for permanent nations is wiser..

any thoughts on montly update of regional map?

That's all pretty much a given. As for nation size, though, how would one determine that? Everyone's going to want a big claim. I have a bit of a mockup going that I think'll work nicely. It's on the smaller side but easy to expand if needed.

perhaps we could decide by looking at nations regional influence. Nations with higher influence+larger population gets larger lands on regional map. I can help you to collect data of nations.

Beside of the capitals of each nation in Wintreath, we could have a regional capital(Frosthold Castle maybe...) It would be like Washington DC in United States. We could place senate(upper/lower houses), embassies, ministries, etc.

I don't have much experience here, but think this is a great idea.

Any progress on this front? A map is a really interesting idea, and I think (from my limited experience admittedly) it'd give us something unique as a region.

we still discussing basic principles. You are right, a regional map will transform this beautiful region into an unique region. 

Did this progress at all? It seemed like a very interesting idea, but it seems to have fallen into the wayside... 

I can look at this. I wouldn't be able to update it, but I can get a baseline map possible.

I could actually use a wintreath map for something I'm working on.

I have time, I may try and provide something.

EDIT: Currently working my way through a sketch-type map of Frostlake. Once I've completed this I'll do my best to produce something based on how I view Wintreath

Oh, I like that! Bit small for the resolutions I usually work with but good luck! Yes, they do conflict but as Winty started the Oh the Places You'll Go thread I think you can accept what he says there as being 'canon'. The guy running the Capital thread is aware and I think he's changing it to match, not sure.
