Oh my gosh, yes. I will forever say that Spyro (Original trilogy) has been one of the better games made. Who cares that everything is made of polygon panes, at least everything is the art style fits together and doesn't break immersion via uncanny valley.
Ahhhh why won't reality align itself to remake the Spyro games in an accessible way....

It's possible now.  Since the Crash Remake has been doing so well (and deservedly so), a Spyro trilogy remake of the same caliber is highly likely.

I'm crossing my fingers, but from what I recall the original Spyro team broke up or something? ...I'm going to ignore that thought and stick with being hopeful.

Well, Insomniac no longer owns Spyro, just like Naughty Dog no longer owns Crash Bandicoot.  Activision owns both properties, and has for a while.

But, just as Vicarious Visions did an excellent job with Crash, I'm hoping they do the same with Spyro if a trilogy remake does indeed happen (which I'm crossing my fingers it will, and like Crash it'll be done right).

Huh. I didn't know that. Huzzah, the hope is more plausible!
Though if they upgrade all the models like they did with Crash, I'm going to miss the polygons.

If you have a ps3, you can still appreciate the original games.
