Although apprentice could also certainly work.

In my opinion, we shouldn't use some name that would confuse others with our guild's titles, and many of those listed kinda do. I think it would just be easy to call a new citizen who is still unaffiliated to simply be called a "new citizen" as Point Breeze suggested.

If they show interest in the guild, then we can call them "novice" or whatever it is we're using. (After we figure out the GM thing, I think we should update that, by the way.)

New citizen could mean anything, though. I like the sound of protégé, even if it's not strictly speaking correctly used with relation to a mentor's relationship with his mentee.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter what they're called. Mentee just sounds ugly.

I just call them new Citizens, myself.

Call them something that doesn't even make sense like stools.

I think that's a good system.  I'm just concerned that, in my experience anyway, mentors aren't usually asked direct questions about regional activities as often as new citizens just request some general information on a subject.  So I'm pretty sure most of the mentors, being as involved and active as they are, could give a solid introduction into regional RP, but the purpose of this discussion is to go beyond that, right? 

So let's say I'm assigned to a new citizen and they demonstrate interest in RP.  I could tell them about the RP guild and what RP's are active right now and what's being discussed and show them where the forums are.  That's the extent of my knowledge on RP in region, and that's plenty of info to get them started.  That's where we're at right now.  If I went to a consultant and said, "Hey, this new citizen is interested in RP, can you give me some info?" they're basically going to give me the same stuff.  And they're going to get that question from every mentor with a citizen interested in RP.  I could dig a little deeper with the new citizen, and ask what kind of RP, what experience do they have, etc., and then approach the consultant, which would expand both the mentor's and the citizen's knowledge, which is good...

My thoughts were that not every mentor knows everything about the forum. I for one don't know anything about the minecraft server or Civilization V games. There are other areas I don't know about as well. And if I'm asked about those by the mentee/student/protégé/new citizen/noob/neophyte/stool, I call upon a consultant listed as knowing about those areas of the forum and the activities that go on there. The consultant answers any questions I have then I take that information and answer the new guy's questions.

Again, what Aragonn said. At this point I should just place you in charge of such an initiative if it ever starts.

Remember to make a push with the various things the guild is involved with, and remember that the GM position doesn't have as much power here as it does in New Hyperion, though.

@Wintermoot, would it be possible to let Aragonn in on at least those Riksråd discussions concerning guilds, specifically the RP ones? I feel it's most productive to have GMs who are directly aware of the things involving them.
