Just a place to talk about what we're doing in our various games.

So, did AoE2 on the moderate setting for the first time. It was a...much more interesting experience. For one, the computer players don't wait for you to research epochs before they do so themselves, so I found myself lagging behind them a little bit. I was about to put it adequate amounts of castles and guard towers so I couldn't be overran though...then the second problem, everyone started running out of resources! First stone, and then gold...this led to a mad craze for everyone to chop all the wood on the map. I also had to invest in trading carts and cogs so I could get gold that way...it was slow, but better than selling off my food and wood for gold. A lot of Hussars came into play as well, probably because they're one of the few military units that only cost food. I was able to add in some Woad Raiders, Champions, Elite Skirmishers, Paladins, and a few Trebuchets from my trade cogs/cart profit, which let me finally break through enemy defenses.

I and my computer teammate eventually won, but because of lack of resources it took over 4 hours to finish the game.

Huh...I just rediscovered this topic.

In any case, just played a bunch of bot League of Legends games with my friends Daylen and Crimson. Anyone else play LoL?

Been gaming lately on the Xbox 360 a lot, particularly World of Tanks.  I should find time for my other games though.

I've been advancing my WWE Universe in WWE 2K14, and playing an obscene amount of Game Dev Tycoon.

What exactly do you like about Game Dev Tycoon, just out of curiosity? I couldn't really get into it...

Oh my god I don't even know. It's challenging in some regards,  and easy in others. It's just the right mix for me. Also I'm a huge Sim anything fan, so it was hard for it to fail in my eyes.

I like sims too, but it ended up feeling repetitive to me...I regret buying it to be honest. =/

I can certainly see how it could be repetitive in your eyes. It's unfortunate you don't enjoy it. How have you been liking EU4?

Sadly, I haven't had much time to play it...been deluged with games since the Steam sale.

My first impressions though is that EU3 was much more streamlined and had a better UI. I like some of the core concept changes...but why have they made the UI so cluttered? Especially combining the nation/province/diplomacy areas...hopefully this is just me being resistant to change that I'll get used to eventually and not an actual issue with the game.

Only games I am really playing at the minute are Football Manager, Democracy 3 and this.

Planning on buying an Xbox One hopefully soon.

Is Democracy 3 all that different from 1 and 2? It's the main reason I haven't bought it.

Nope, I regret buying it to be honest but determined to get my money out of it haha.

That's the problem I've always had with Positech Games...their (or his, since it's a one-man thing) sequels end up being almost the exact same game with spiffier graphics. I ran into this when I bought Kudos 2. >_>

Well I am currently playing LOTRO and CrossFire: Rivan Fanction, both online games
I also have Euro Truck Simulator and Sims Castaway.

Ahh you guys.

Spore is where it's at. I think I'll play the fuck outta Spore today.
