Yes, it works now (though I haven't received any actual PM's yet so no idea if that still works), though one issue is the BBcode is neither removed nor converted (unlike with the previous PM system).

Am I accurate in saying that if I check "email" but not "PM", then I'll get a notification email but not a PM?

So yeah, I'm still not getting email notifications for PM's anymore.

Also, whenever I try to mention or quote @Wintermoot, I get this error:

The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: notice_text

But it posts anyway.

The issue now is that the system doesn't differentiate between regular and notification PMs, and as a result you get two emails:

I don't know why...but the site is suddenly having immense loading issues on my laptop.  It'll load half the page, and then it'll take forever to load the rest.

On my phone it's not an issue though...and since normally use the wifi on my phone (and other pages load normally) I don't see why it'd be a conmection issue on my end.

My suggestion (that I thought up of some time back, it's probably a shitty idea and wouldn't work very well):

if (notifyPM=true AND notifyEmail=true) send PM notification only, which will then be converted to email by the existing system

It's a bit more complicated than that because notifications are triggered by different scripts...for example, quoting a post triggers the notification system, which triggers a PM, which triggers the notification system again. All you can do at that point is tell it not to trigger the notification system again based on something related to the PM that's being sent.

What I mean is if you just base it on if whether email and PM notifications are on, then you'd block email notifications of all PMs...the call to send a PM/email from the notification system is the same as sending them through any other part of the forum.

So basically I'm trying to base it off the contents of the notification PM...if the PM is this and email notification is on, don't send the email notification.
