First thing I want to look at is Kane specifically. D1, he posted:
Hello, some of you seem familiar while many do not. Do not cross me though if you don't want to get burned.
Along with a second post with an unbroken link to specifically a gif of Starfire from Titans. For some this may come off as a harmless jab, but Kane is not a new player, and this could very easily be a role claim on his part saying that he's Starfire from Titans. Given that this hasn't proven fruitful thus far on alignment guessing since one obvious was proven wrong, I'm not going to hold my breath as much on assuming on this one given that Starfire was a Titan, yes, but also:
*Had amnesia for a good part of the show
*Had the sole mission of killing Raven before said amnesia hit
*Had no issues with the idea of killing Batman in Trigon's false reality, purposely showing up late to a raid at Wayne Manor and almost killed him before being frozen to death by a shot by a cold gun.
Also adding that it could be a deception and Kane is actually Blackfire, who was jealous of Starfire and the love that people had for her (and had the tendency to be homicidal).
So the fact that he specifically chose to suggest he's Starfire is giving me some pause. The fact that he then posted a gif of Monroe from Grimm is also interesting not because it came off as another potential soft claim, but because it was following the line "Now let's hunt these mysterious wolves" which to me suggests he was using the GIF in that sense, even though Monroe was 100% a good guy in the show and is probably the
last person we would be hunting.
Next, I'll turn to Abbi, who posted this first bit in D1:
Hello ladies and gentleman. 30 posts my god I'm screwed... I'm a changed girl I post 3000 times a day now. I blame champs.
Anyways. How do you do my fellow Americans actors?
Abbi, admittedly, is usually harder to peg since she likes to do chaotic claims throughout the game. Although the fact that she's starting things off this way catches my interest a bit. The fact that she's oddly also thrown off using character suggestive GIFs and stuck mainly to
maybe the occasional anime one or unrelated...which for me is a weird vibe. The cookie thing I will say is something I could see Abbi doing in a townie type of mindset, as is the "We must kill someone every day" mindset (even if personally that's not my vibe), but I'm not hard clearing anything yet.
Also, I don't like the fact that KoD is hard clearing her this early. This could be a townie buddy matchup and he's clearing her due to mechanics or an auto-clear because of meta knowledge, but this could also be a scum partnership and he could be attempting to give her a false-clear.
Outside his early clear of Abbi which throws me off a bit, KoD is acting pretty much as I've seen him act in games, but like Abbi I'm interested to see what continues to develop since I don't feel entirely comfy just yet leaning one way or the other.
Jos, Corbin, and Svip I'm just going to go ahead and auto-clear right now from being the Killer and possibly Wolf Chief. For one, because I'm like 99.5% sure Svip wouldn't know to go after NoName since this is Svip's first time playing, and the same goes for Aerso (although depending on the role and amount of bad guys, I'm less sure on this since a more experienced player could have suggested it if they share the chat). For Jos and Corbin, it's also the same mounted with the fact that I'm also even more sure they probably don't entirely know how the game works, given how little they've talked so far (and it's likely Jos will be removed if they don't hit the post requirement this phase).
That all being said though, I'm only clearing them of being those two roles, not of being scum
entirely since one or more of them could easily still be on the squad (but if we're in a game with only 1 scum and multiple bad 3Ps, then I'll definitely auto-clear them entirely).
Mel, I'm pretty much vibing on a town lean with her. Her behaviors so far have been very on par from what I've normally seen with a townie Mel, though I'll always err on the side of caution given she's also a heavily experienced player. But for now, she's my only real townie lean.
Dolby, I'm still not sure yet, and like Gerrick he's one I'm going to need to see a bit more on before I can have any real strong opinions.
What does the Wolf Chief role do? Does that mean they're invincible until all the other wolves are killed?
As much as I'd be surprised otherwise, I doubt it'd be an invincible-until-dead role in a small setup like this. If anything, given that the faction kill was specifically by the Wolf Chief, my first assumption was that they're the leader that makes the kills...possibly even being the one who makes the decision while any others in the group just give out ideas.
Unfortunately, all we can do is guess since none of the role abilities are public knowledge by our hosts, and the role itself didn't turn up anything on Mafia Universe. Google turns up the Vigilante role as the first search result, but mainly because "wolf" is an obvious common word that was used in a lot of topics that the Vig role was mentioned in.
