A Word from the Monarch

It's the weird period during the elections where I've already talked about the outgoing season but it's too early to talk about the upcoming season, so I have nothing to discuss this week. Enjoy this break from reading a long article, have a great week, and as always stay frosty.

Nominations for Thanes and Alders Now Open!

Nominations are open for these Cabinet positions, so if you're interested in managing one of our Cabinet portfolios (Thanes) or representing Citizens to the Cabinet (Alders), be sure to check out the election forum and stand! Nominations/standing will close on June 1st, with elections to follow if there are any competitive elections.

Order 66, or something idk

Chancellor @Laurentus is looking for input on what the first session of the Landsraad should do, with several ideas already posted. If there's some legislation or action that you'd like to see happen, this is a good opportunity to let it be known!

Office of the 1st Chancellor

Chancellor @Laurentus has also set up an official office, where he announced that he would establish the position of Vice-Chancellor, which he then appointed @taulover to. Congratulations to @taulover on becoming our first Vice-Chancellor!

Some Discord Improvements

This week Wintermoot made some changes to the #roles channel and the introduction message that new members get when they join. The roles react posts now uses embeds instead of messages, so that ops can update the message through Carl-Bot rather than have to delete and recreate them everytime we add or remove a role. He also added a joinable Cards Against Humanity role, and updated the introduction message to direct new members to the rules and roles channel.

For those who overthink to the point that it leads to depression and anxiety, Wintermoot posted an article from Psyche digital magazine that discusses the benefits of metacognitive therapy, or learning to let go of negative thoughts and not dwelling on them.
