Only happens when I'm logged in. I tried clearing cache and disabling adblocker. Problem exists in both Safari and Chrome.

I'm not able to replicate this issue, either on my desktop or phone with Chrome.

Did you test on an account without full admin permissions (i.e. locked posts are actually locked)?

I don't have such an account, and unfortunately SMF doesn't have the ability to show me what a certain page would look like for different groups of people. That's why I was hoping to get input from others.

Can confirm, the problem also exists for me in the threads Tau linked to.

I created a test account and tried it both with guest and Citizen permissions, but I wasn't able to replicate the issue on my end.

Spoilers and navigation menu buttons use javascript to open and close, so it's possible there's some circumstance where it isn't working. Are you able to retrieve any javascript errors you get when you try opening one? In Chrome on Windows desktop you can do this by hitting Ctrl + Shift + C, then going to the Console tab, and then trying the spoiler or button.

The error you posted pointed to the code that collapses and expands the quick reply area. Through trial and error I discovered that issue happened when you had quick reply on but collapsed by default and were viewing a topic that you couldn't reply to. I went through the code and discovered a section that checked if you had quick-reply on, but didn't check if it was a topic that you could reply to, so I fixed that and it seems to be working for me.
