Voting for this election is now over! Overall, our activity in this election was similar to the last election, with 18 ballots cast this time vs 21 back in December. Unfortunately though, it would appear that our candidates didn't make an impact on some people...had "abstain" been a candidate, it would have won 6 votes. I hope this session will be active and productive, and the winners will prove those people who voted abstain wrong. In any case, here are the results!

Since the previous Underhusen specified that there would be 5 seats this session, the candidates listed in green are the winners. Congrats! As for the role of Speaker of the Underhusen, this was a really tough decision to make. I interviewed the interested candidates and there are quite a few that I think would be great for the job, but there can only be one...so for this term I have selected Denth Rowan to continue his tenure as Speaker for another term.

Congrats to all the winners of the election! I still need to finalize my Overhusen selections, and will post who they are asap, hopefully today or tomorrow...then we can get this session on the road!

Have to say I'm a little disappointed. Despite the very little accomplishments of the first session, all incumbents were reelected...

I understand that popularity and being a known quantity are factors but still... Disappointing. Call me bitter or a sore loser if you like, but I'm just speaking my mind. Good luck in the new session.

Myself and Alterra are serving our first terms. As for the other three, they're proven to have actually been able to work the Underhusen, so it's no surprise they're re-elected. With as many really active members as we currently have, it's to be expected.

I'm not sure you're catching my meaning. At the risk of seeming confrontational, I'll clarify: at least from the point of my joining, which was a large share of its term the incumbents did very little real work. The bills that were passed or proposef (a fish denonym law?) seemed to lack weight and purpose. 

That is how I can judge the prevalence of friendship and popularity over merit and ideas.

Also, please don't take anything personal. I'm pleased you and Alterra got elected because I know you'll be active.

Ah balls, I've just liked and disliked this post. Basically everything Moot said; no-one really knew how law-making was going to work, so most of the work done was to establish a way of doing things. The real productivity will probably emerge over the next few sittings.

Lets make February one of the most productive months for Wintreath ;D
