>Examine the fireplace.
You examine the fireplace. There is no wood fueling the fire, only jets of fire coming from the ground. If only you could turn them off.

>Try to see the thing on the other side of the fire.
You attempt to peer through the fire, but see nothing as the fire keeps moving to block your view. Before giving up, you think you might have seen another room on the other side. A faint rattling also seems to drift through from the other side as you get very close to the fire.

>Move the book off of the red X
You move the book off the red X. Nothing happens.

>Attempt to dig down at the red X.
You begin to dig. After scraping through layers of damp wood, you hit dirt. You continue digging for hours until you eventually stand in a very deep hole and find... a single copper coin.
<Event> A random skeleton emerges from the walls of dirt around you and grabs the copper coin. "So that's where I put that!" You no longer have the copper coin, but there is now a skeleton in a hole in your room. He will leave in 3 turns.
Cat turn 3

Dog

>Gently retrieve ring from crack between wall and floor with paw.

>Sniff ring (if successful at retrieval).

>Sniff very long stick.

>Attempt to pickup stick and wave it aimlessly around a little.

>Give stick a little chew.

You retrieve the ring! It is now in your inventory for further use.

You sniff the ring. You learn the scent of the rings! From where you currently stand, you can smell three trails from rings, including the one you currently hold.

>Sniff very long stick.
You sniff the stick. It smells like a stick.

>Attempt to pickup stick and wave it aimlessly around a little.
You pick up the stick and after stumbling under its awkward size, successfully wave it around. It keeps hitting walls and nearly knocks the torch out of it's holder.

>Give stick a little chew.
You chew on the stick. It tastes like a stick.

Human

>Examine hand. Is it solely skeletal looking, or a prop skeleton hand, or does it have flesh still rotting on it? More importantly, is it moving?

>Take the ring the hand dropped.
>Carefully retrieve the ring in the toilet.

You examine the hand. It has long since lost its flesh, but it definitely belonged to a full human body at one time. A few scraps of blue fabric cling to it near where it appears to have broken off from the main body just above the wrist. As you edge closer, the hand starts creeping towards you in a strange manner. When you stop moving, it stops as well. As it moves, a rustling sound can be heard from outside the bars.

You collect the ring! It is now in your inventory for further use.

You examine the rings. They are of the same size, but look slightly too big to fit on any human finger. On the inside of them there is a single groove. On the outside, six letters are carved.

On neither ring does the groove on the inside line up with a letter on the outside.

Cat

>Examine the skeleton.
>Attempt to charm the skeleton.
>Attempt to take the copper coin.
>Examine the copper coin.

You examine the Skeleton. The skeleton examines you. Neither of you discover anything, but the skeleton does tilt his head.

>Attempt to charm the skeleton.
You are successful! The skeleton reveals a special ability for your use as long as he is in the same room as you. You can now move through objects at a greatly reduced speed like they don't exist.
{WARNING!} Attempting to walk through a wall to leave the room with the skeleton in it will cause you to become stuck in a wall, from where you will not be able to play very well. However, you may be able to peek through walls with the ability...

The skeleton seems to glare at you, which is quite the feat as he is nothing but a skull with no facial features.

You make a valiant attempt to examine the coin, but the skeleton keeps getting more upset with you. You only learn that it looks like an ordinary old coin.

Cat

>Walk to each wall and attempt to peak through.
>Peak through the floor around the fireplace to see where the jets of fire originate.
>Attempt to peak into the large rock.

Dog

>Shimmy.

>Attempt to catch chain on sharp shiny thing and tug it to attempt to break chain.

>Dig at floor underneath arrow.

>Walk to each wall and attempt to peak through.
You peek through each wall, careful to not become stuck. On the wall across from the fireplace, you find nothing but dirt. On the wall to the left of the fireplace, you find a dark corridor. Sounds of clanking metal can be heard from further down the hall. To the right of the fireplace, there is nothing but dirt. On the other side of the fireplace is another room with a broken dining set.

>Peak through the floor around the fireplace to see where the jets of fire originate.
There appears to be some form of very complicated gear mechanism that traces back to the open padlock on the shelf.

>Attempt to peak into the large rock.
You hit your head. After a second attempt, you almost see the contents. It looks to be some kind of can... and perhaps a spout?
Cat turn 5
>Shimmy.
You shimmy. The chain rattles.

>Attempt to catch chain on sharp shiny thing and tug it to attempt to break chain.
The chain strains and stretches, but remains firmly in place.

>Dig at floor underneath arrow.
You dig. After digging for a while, you have removed all the loose dirt and uncovered a passageway! But there is some stone covering the mouth of it... from above you hear the sound of footsteps. Your nose can smell two new rings from here! Now if only the chain would stretch enough to let you move the slab of rock...
Dog turn 4

Human

>Whistle a tune. Loudly.
>Listen for a response.

>Examine circles. What size are they? What shape? What are the markings made of?

>Place a ring in each circle.
>Wait.
>If nothing appears to happen, retrieve rings.

Since the Cat didn't notice anything in particular, I'm going to assume the skeletal hand in the Human's room doesn't belong to Skellifriend.

Hey Gerrick, can you get the cat to pick up the ring from Cat (2)? If there's two in the Human's area, there might be two in each area. Also, can we get Cat and Dog to examine each of their rings? I dunno if the Dog can read, but the Cat can at least read the letter T, so examining the rings might be a useful step.

You whistle a little tune at the top of your lungs.

There is no response.

You examine the circles. They are each the size of a manhole cover(Because I have nothing of better size to compare it to). The markings appear to be some form of black, tar like substance which has decayed over time, revealing hints of cracks in the floor.

>Place a ring in each circle.
You place a ring in each circle. Nothing happens.
>Wait.
You stare at the rings on the circles intently. Nothing happens
>If nothing appears to happen, retrieve rings.
You retrieve the rings. They are back in your inventory.
Human turn 5
Alright, just a note here. Since no one has picked up the firefly yet, and we are nearing the point where his room will be necessary for at least one other player, everyone may now control this character along with their main. Good luck!

Cat

>Check how many numbers are on the combination lock.

Firefly

>Examine the jar.
>Attempt to knock the jar off the fireplace.

Dog

You examine the glasses. They one on the right is a quarter full. The one on the left is half full. The one in the center is completely full to the point that it is almost overflowing.

There are 30 numbers from 1-30 on the combination lock.

You meow. Why? Who knows.

>Examine the jar.
It is a glass jar with a lid. There is nothing special about it.

>Attempt to knock the jar off the fireplace.
You carefully move the jar to the edge of the fireplace with your super strength, then plummet to the bottom. The jar teeters and hits the ground, shattering. You are now free!

>Attempt to open the jar.
The jar is broken. However, the lid is still on. You attempt to pry off the lid. No such luck.

You bark.
<Event> The Dog has now barked in the hole. The Human can now hear the dog.

You examine your ring! It has a groove on the inside and six letters on the outside.
