Turn 6

Kane lives 1: Enter 3201 in the bathroom keypad.
Well, you have to get started at some point, right? You take the room’s chair and seat yourself beside the bathroom keypad, ready to get to work. In the dark.

You type “3201” into the bathroom’s keypad. Nothing appears to happen.

Kane lives 2: Enter 1302 in the bathroom keypad.
You type “1302” into the bathroom’s keypad. Nothing appears to happen.


Kane lives 3: Enter 2301 in the bathroom keypad.
You type “2301” into the bathroom’s keypad. Nothing appears to happen.


El Fiji Grande 1: Move the levers A, B, & E up; C, D, F, & G down. (credit to Gerrick for proposed solution).
Right, that’s it! You abandon the bathroom for now and go for the desk drawer. There the levers are. You flick most of them downwards, and flick A, B, and E upwards.

At first, nothing appears to happen. You scan the room for any sign of change. And, you find one. The bedside drawer, the one with the five-letter keyboard, it’s different. It used to have two red lights on its face. Now, there is only one red one. The other is green.

You step around the water stains and try to open the drawer anyway. No luck. It’s still locked.


El Fiji Grande 2: Use the TV Remote to select [ESCAPE].
You sit yourself on the bed and direct the TV to the item titled “ESCAPE.” The screen whites out.

Moments later, one line of words appear.

[ERROR - LOCKED]

...Of course. There are two padlock symbols under the disheartening text. One is red, the other blue. You try to select either one, but all your inputs do is return you to the original screen, no matter how many times you go back to it.

You go back to the bathroom and type “3210” into the bathroom’s keypad. Nothing appears to happen.


Gerrick 1: Turn the TV off.
With the TV off, it’s just as dark as when you first looked around the room. It’s much darker with only one source of light.


Gerrick 2: Turn the lamp off.
And it is even darker with none. You listen carefully, but even in the dark the water doesn’t sound like it’s turning on again.


Gerrick 3: Shine the torch on the walls.
The torch’s light has a strange tint to it, so you quickly start scanning the walls with it. At first, you see nothing. No hidden writing, no secret symbols, nothing. You find gold er, rather, purple, when you turn the torch near the five-letter keyboard. There’s a streak of gleaming purple, swooping under the water’s hole. It terminates on the wall, as an arrowhead, pointing directly at the keyboard.

The other end, however….

You follow the line with your torch. It swoops up, past the water hole, arching upwards and backwards until it curves onto the very ceiling--

Your shin bangs into the bed and you fall, backwards, onto it, your eyes fixed to the ceiling. Someone had gone to town on the ceiling. You can't see all of it at once, not with how small the torch's light is. It takes careful minutes with shaken hands to read the whole thing.

Slightly shaken, you go back into the hall to your chair and return to inputting different codes.

...Okay. Think. Four numbers. People don’t pick four numbers randomly, there has to be a reason for them. Then again... you’re already halfway there. No harm in finishing the lot.

After the continual, methodical, achingly boring clicking of keys, you’re halfway through entering the next number when it hits you. The door’s unlocked. Before it changes its mind, you pull it open and take a look inside. The chair clatters to the ground behind you.

The lights are all off. In the darkness the first thing you spot is on the opposite wall.

It's dark, but underneath it you can make out a panel of some sort. There are five boxes, each containing a different letter inside, each lit from behind by red light. “WATCH.” There is a pulsing stripe of red light slowly rounding the entire picture and boxes's frame. It sheds light, barely, on the rest of the bathroom.

To your right there is a sink with a cupboard above it. The cupboard is bolted shut, with two red LED lights on its face. You can’t see a keypad or other obvious unlocking mechanism.

To your left is a shower, one of those ones with glass walls. It reaches all the way to the ceiling. That’s poor design, that’ll leave the ship owners dealing with mildew daily if there isn’t an air vent in there. Upon closer examination there doesn’t appear to be a door. Instead, there is a metal panel at chest height that you can’t see clearly from the doorway. What you can see are what look like buckets inside the shower, on pivots, with several hoses and mechanical parts catching the faint red light.

Beyond the shower you can see the toilet. It looks like it's been welded shut. On the wall beside you is a light switch.

Leaving the bathroom for now, you head back to the TV to investigate more of the screens. First, [Puzzles]. When you select it the screen whites out. After a few seconds text returns, this time with far lengthier prose.

Puzzle 1: What is at the end of everything?

You briefly test what the "use coins" option does. It brings up a keyboard, one with apparently limitless room. You back out of it, just in case you accidentally do something you regret.


(Sorry for the delay, I went for dinner and then there were more posts. In hindsight, I should’ve expected that. Regarding [PUZZLE]. All you need to do is indicate what puzzle you’re answering (1, 2, 3, etc), then state what your answer is. Regarding [HINTS], congrats on finding the legitimate hint mechanism. Use hint coins, and you can ask [a question/for a hint] regarding a puzzle. Good luck!)

Hints coins are already assigned to each of us. I'm EFG. It also appears that the number of coins we have is the sum of the actions we have taken throughout the game.

Edit: So in case it's unclear, I think Gerrick, taulover, and I have enough coins to ask for a hint.

I'm pretty sure the answers to the puzzles are G, water, and fish, respectively. At least that's what I'm guessing after thinking about it for a minute or two.

Gerrick 1: Flip the bathroom light switch.
You turn the lights on. Suddenly, the bathroom is far less intimidating. On the floor, you notice two objects. The first looks like a similar tile to those you previously found.

You have acquired one (1) tile. You have five in total.

The second item you find is a picture frame. It had fallen on its face. The glass within it is cracked. The photograph inside shows a young boy, fair haired, grinning up at the camera. He is in a kitchen, paused in cutting a carrot on a cutting board. A birthday cone is sloppily perched on his head. Written on the photograph you can make out the words: “For big bro Charlie! Love you! <3”

After examining it, you leave the photograph on the bathroom sink.

When you leave the bathroom, the TV is going berserk.

Gerrick 3: Inspect the shower.
You step to the front of the shower and peer inside. There are a lot of buckets inside it, but you do your best to make sense of the twisted machinery.



There are two layers of the same contraption. The shower hose is fixed in place above a bucket labeled “0/5.” Next to that bucket is one labeled “0/3.” Finally, both buckets have hoses leading to a third bucket off to one side. Built into the wall behind the set of buckets is a wall labeled “4” in glowing red.

Underneath it is an identical set up, except there is no hose present. The buckets look larger than the ones above them. The left one is labeled “0/9,” and the other “0/4,” with an identical third bucket off to the side. You can see a space where the red number would be. Unfortunately it is not lit up.

Built into the outside of the shower is a metal panel. With some experimentation, you discover you can direct the hose to fill either the “5” bucket or the “3” bucket. When you do, the bucket’s number changes. For example, from “0/5” to “5/5.” Another button lets you pour the bucket 5’s water into bucket 3, or vice versa. Another button allows you to dump one bucket’s contents into the third extra bucket, and yet another one causes all the water to spill out and slip down the shower drain.

After six turns, the contraption abruptly buzzes and discards all the water in spite of your protests. You also seem unable to interact with the second row of buckets.


(Apologies for the poor artwork there. Hopefully I got the point across. By. The. Way. Inputs such as “fill bucket 3 from hose” or “fill bucket 3 from bucket 5” or “dump bucket 3’s contents” are all separate inputs. Teamwork time! Good luck!)
