>Examine the clothes for notes or other thingsThe four shirts smell like someone had worn them while rolling around in mud. And at the same time they hugged a wet dog. Many dogs.
You turn them around a few times, but there don't appear to be any notes or pockets.
>See if the painting dots can be connectedWith what, your bare hands? You obligingly trace lines on the painting but nothing appears to happen. You do learn that the painting isn't canvas. It's paper.
Cheapskates.
>Examine the skis and boots in addition to the clothesThe skis look well loved, only to be abandoned. There are hundreds of scratches across the skis from accidental turns into ice and rocks. The topside has a vibrant swirl of yellow and green, like mustard and blended peas partially mixed.
The two boots match the skis. Unfortunately, the boots appear to be a size too large for you. More’s the pity. In a pinch they could be worn, but, well, they wouldn't exactly pinch.
>Flip through and examine the notepadYou flip through the notepad like you're trying to make an animation. However, the pages are blank. It's almost as if this notebook is only here to explain how you're remembering any numbers and codes you come across.
...Nah, that would be ridiculous. Even if that were the case, you don't have any writing implements.
>Look under the couchYou bend down and look under the couch. It's dusty. At first you don't see anything other than dust, then you spot a ball of fabric. Fishing it out, you discover... another shirt. Great.
