I've been playing a lot of Overwatch the past few months, and D.Va is my favourite character.

Two of my RL friends and I are always looking for skilled players to join us. Thought I might throw that out there as well.

1. It's a Romanisation of my actual name.

Oh, boy.

1. Probably Lancelot, although I might be tempted to say the French Knights as a collective.

2. Between the Nords, Orcs and Khajiit. I don't really keep count.

3. I would argue that one means nothing without the other. What is the point of authority if you're not going to use it to act responsibly, and how can you have responsibility if you have no power to effect change?

4. I still view abortion as murder, but my stance has changed somewhat in that I no longer view murder as something that is absolutely evil 100% of the time. Indeed, I believe that some sacrifices will have to be made to slow the growth of the world population. As far as hating someone who's had an abortion goes, why would I? I wouldn't want to enter into a relationship with such a person, but what does my hatred of them accomplish? Hatred makes understanding impossible, anyway, and if I don't understand what drives someone to making such a big life decision, then I can't hope to help them see an alternative.

If you are forced to pick one, would you rather speak the truth and hurt someone's feelings or would you tell a "white lie" to avoid that?

Does the answer change according to who you are speaking to? If so, why?

Part of my job these days involves figuring out how to package my feedback in a way that the other party can easily digest, but even in cases where that is difficult, I tell the truth, as I believe that is better than preserving someone's feelings. Sure, it might hurt them in the moment, but in the long run, they're given the opportunity to do something about it. I've seen way too many people sabotaged by well-intentioned friends who tell white lies.

That said, if I truly don't respect someone, I won't say anything.

Government and forums are dead, but the RMB is actually quite active. At this point, they're kinda like the Wintreath RMB: associated, but still rather separate communities. (Good for New Hyperion, bad if you wanted the "vassalization as the first step toward integration" plan to succeed.)

Aragonn and I are still around (in fact, Aragonn is often more active there than here). Corcetia and ISF/Terra Novam remain regulars as well.

Might as well revive this.

Do you prefer books or movies/TV shows? As a bonus, what's your favourite of each?

I suppose I generally prefer TV shows, as they have more time to explore their themes than movies, but the only reason I don't read as much as I used to is because it's been awhile since I've found a book that really drew me.

As for favourites, that is pretty difficult. I don't think I have a singular favourite.

For movies, I'd probably go:

1. Forrest Gump
2. The Dark Knight
3. Seven/Gone Girl
4. There Will be Blood

This is if I absolutely had to narrow it down to three or four, though.

For series, it's a lot harder.

1. The Wire
2. Fargo
3. The Handmaid's Tale
4. Breaking Bad
5. The Sopranos
6. Game of Thrones
7. Mister Robot.
8. Mindhunter
9. Black Mirror
10. Hannibal

That's not even getting into animated stuff, though. Neon Genesis Evangelion and Rick and Morty might top any of those.

As for books, it's just too hard to say. I suppose A Song of Ice and Fire has become my favourite, after all the debates I've had about it. But that feels like a betrayal to all the awesome books I've read.
