I've recently presented 4 bills to the Underhusen for debate that have the goal of correcting the grammar in Wintrean Laws. I'll post it here too, as per my duty as Secretary of the Underhusen.

The Omnibus Constitutional Correction Amendment II

Title
1. This bill shall be cited as the Omnibus Constitutional Correction Amendment II.

Amendments to the Fundamental Laws of Wintreath
2. Article I Section 4 of the Fundamental Laws of Wintreath shall be amended to read:

4. Upon the conclusion of the election, the Underhusen shall, under supervision of the Monarch, select a member of its own to preside over the Underhusen. Further procedure shall be declared in the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen.

3. Article I Section 12 of the Fundamental Laws of Wintreath shall be amended to read:

12. The Storting shall have the authority to declare war upon another region or organization.

4. Article IV Section 9 of the Fundamental Laws of Wintreath shall be amended to read:

9. The recall election shall compose of a forty-eight hour nomination period in which candidates may stand for election, followed by a seventy-two hour election period. The winner of the recall election shall assume the seat in question upon its conclusion.

Amendment to the Royal Titles and Styles Act
5. Section 8 of the Royal Titles and Styles Act shall be amended to read:

8. The Preamble of the Fundamental Laws of Wintreath shall be amended to read as follows:

The Declassification Amendment Act II

Title
1. This bill shall be cited as the Declassification Amendment Act II.

Amendment to the Declassification Amendment Act
2. Section 3 of the Declassification Amendment Act shall be amended to read:

3.  Section 4 shall be added to the Declassification of Private Storting Discussion Procedure Act, and it shall read:
"Any powers given to the Speaker or Chairman by this act will also be given to the Speaker Pro Tempore and Acting Chairman if they are empowered by their respective Procedural Rules.”

The Omnibus Statutory Law Correctional Amendment Act

Title
1. This bill shall be cited as the Omnibus Statutory Law Correctional Amendment Act.

Amendment to the Citizenship and Demonym Act
2. Section 3.1 of the Citizenship and Demonym Act shall be amended to read:

3.1 The Storing shall have the authority to recognize any previous or current Citizen as a Paragon of Wintreath if it feels the individual was an essential member of the regional community, or performed invaluable service to the region, and/or otherwise embodied the principles, values, culture, or honour of the region.

Amendment to the Judicial Offices Act
3. Section 2.2 of the Judicial Offices Act shall be amended to read:

2.2 The term of a judicial appointment lasts either the length of a case or a duration of 1 month from appointment, whichever comes first. At the end of the 1 month period, if the case is still being heard, it falls to the Monarch to reappoint members of the Storting to the Judiciary, or to the Speaker of the Underhusen and the Speaker of the Overhusen in the case of Monarchical absence.

Amendments to the Charax Romanov Act
4. Section 3.1 of the Charax Romanov Act shall be amended to read:

Amendment to the Code of Criminal Laws
6. Section 8 of the Code of Criminal Laws shall be amended to read:

8. Statute of Limitation on this Act.

Amendment to the Definition of Public Act
7. Section 1 of the Definition of Public Act shall be amended to read:

1. This shall be titled the Definition of Public Act.

The Omnibus Procedural Rules of the Underhusen Amendment XV

Title
1. This bill shall be cited as the Omnibus Procedural Rules of the Underhusen Amendment XV.

Amendments to the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen

2. Section 3(b) of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be amended to read:

(b) A motion to Extend Debate may include a time period shorter or longer than 48 hours, but is not shorter than 4 hours and is not longer than 1 week. Should no time period be given or should the time period be shorter or longer than what is allowed, the extension shall be 48 hours. If little to no active discussion has happened by the deadline of the first extension, the ability to extend debate/discussion shall be relinquished and a Skrifa other than the Speaker must motion to vote or table the bill. Active discussion shall be defined as any debate or discussion on a bill or its merits with significant or productive contributions from a majority (50% or more) of Skrifa.

3. Section 5(c) of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be amended to read:

(c) Abstain, indicating that the representative is voting neither in favor of nor against the proposal but wishes his or her vote to be recorded.

4. Section 10(c) of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be amended to read:

(c) The Speaker may close a vote but leave the record open to allow other Skrifa to record their votes.  Votes cast after the vote has been closed will not affect the result of the vote.

5. Section 12(b) of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be amended to read:

(b) The Speaker pro tempore, whenever he or she is presiding over the Underhusen, shall assume all of the responsibilities of the Speaker as listed in relevant law and shall be subject to the same constitutional and statutory restraints placed upon the Speaker.

6. Section 16(a) of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be amended to read:

16. (a)The Speaker (or standing Speaker) may deem members of the Underhusen "inactive" if they are not present for a prolonged period of time; this status can be ignored if supplanted by either the "inactive" member stating they are no longer inactive in the Underhusen or by majority vote of all current Skrifa. This status must be noted and maintained in a public listing in the Underhusen.

7. Section 16(d) of the Procedural Rules of the Underhusen shall be amended to read:

(d) If all Skrifa bar the Speaker (or standing Speaker) are deemed "inactive" then the session will be immediately suspended until either 1] The Skrifa return, or 2] The session ends. During this suspension, no proposals may be introduced, motioned on, or voted on in the Underhusen.

A suggestion: perhaps we could see a non-binding resolution passed encouraging the Monarchy and the Overhusen to make grammar fixes to their rules and decrees as well, since you've already gone through and found all the typos/grammatical errors?

I see no problem with this other than one thing.

For 2. Section 3b, I'm not to keen on it having such vauge descriptions. What is considered "little" discussion or a "significant" or "productive" contribution?

That's not a change from earlier wording. Unless I'm sorely mistaken, the point of this act is just to fix grammar errors, of which this is not one.

@Wintermoot will the constitutional amendments come up for referendum along with the Underhusen elections?

It could save others from grammar errors, but not itself.

So, in updating the laws page, I've noticed a few missing periods some laws. If possible, I ask @Mathyland to help me see if there are any other grammar errors.

Statement of the Underhusen on the Events in Lazarus (missing period in 2.1)

I also see quite a few missing periods in the Title section of not just recent laws (such as the Ainur Treaty repeal) but also earlier ones (such as the Charax Romanov Act) that seem to have gone unnoticed in the original grammar check.

I think we have enough of these to create a "missing period in title clause amendment act."

Also @Wintermoot we seem to have forgotten to put up the Declassification Amendment Act II for referendum.

Unless the Declassification of Private Storting Discussion Procedure Act is actually Statutory Law that is misplaced on the laws page? (Upon further inspection, this appears to be the case; I do not see it undergoing referendum at any point.)

I think we have enough of these to create a "missing period in title clause amendment act."

I looked over some of those smaller laws quickly during my grammar check, so it makes sense that I missed some small mistakes like that. But that's a lot of laws! I'll look them over later today.

I don't know if you can change this, but the position of "Paragons" is the only one listed as a plural, it should be "Paragon" to match all the others. Unless "Underhusen" and "Riksråd" are the same singular and plural and I just don't know it because I don't speak Scandinavian.
"Diplomatic" also doesn't fit in, seems like it should be "Diplomat", but it's hard to tell since nobody is in that group.

What law is this about?

She isn't talking about laws, but rather user maskings on the forums, I think (which is an issue for @Wintermoot).

But to answer Aethelia:
Underhusen, Overhusen, and Riksrad are not the position, but rather the group. As such it'd probably be better to compare them with Ambassador, Citizen, Tourist, Monarch, and Village Drifter, which are all singular. So yeah, I think "Paragons" would best be changed to "Paragon" if possible.

No idea what the Diplomatic masking is for, since everyone either has Ambassador or Tourist.

The following people who are currently active on the forums were on the Storting when the Declassification Act was passed. Could someone confirm that this was intended to be Statutory Law (or perhaps actually intended to be Constitutional, as it is in the Laws page)?
