That issue has been occasionally mentioned before, and I've ran into it myself...unfortunately, I've never had a chance to get into the PM system and work with it before, so it's pretty much as it was when the forum was new out of the (virtual box).

If it were up to me and I had the time, the entire PM area would be overhauled.

I do recall bringing up issues with the PM system, and you responding that it isn't much of a priority at this point because of how little it's used. But considering how much some of our forum games rely on it, and how many times we've had communications issues due to people misunderstanding the system when using it for the first time, perhaps it should take greater priority?

Huh, that wasn't just me. Not a good thing, but some comfort in not being the only one to fall into that IM trap.

The other thing... it wasn't here, not with any of you, but I'll just conclude that I've had bad experiences with other groups doing forum games. Now they've got me overthinking things like this, and made me really want to not be like that. Not a fun story, just some people who take forum games really seriously and will do anything to win.

ROUND 5

Mathyland whipped out his bow and made a Rapid Shot at the injured Shaman Tau. The arrow landed in the Druid's leg, dealing 8 damage.

Jenora moved back into a defensive stance and raised her hands to her mouth, which she whispered into. She then opened her palms towards Wolfgang. Purple words began to float around the Paladin's head, whispering different names to him and Confusing him.

Moonstomp again got on his hands and knees and transformed into his bearish Beast Form. He looked to Tau, hoping to finish him off at last. The Cyan Druid charged towards the Octarine Druid and leaped onto him. He violently tore out his enemy's throat with his fangs, let out a roar, then continued to slash out Tau's stomach until Moonstomp began to change back into his Human Form. He looked around, out of breath and covered in blood, then got back on his feet.

Elbbsas took this distracting opportunity to ready her attack. She cupped her hands and spit into them. Slowly, the liquid grew in volume, turned green, and began to fizz. The Mystic then held her hands separately and threw both handfuls of the Acid Spray at Mathyland. The acid immediately burned his skin, dealing 7 damage, then continued to eat away.

Wolfgang, invigorated by his Prayer, wanted to attack. He was confused, however, by the words being whispered into his ears and attacked Elbbsas, dealing 5 damage to her.

"Our second kill!" the Host announced. "And what an absolutely brutal one! I'm sure there will be much more carnage to come. Haha!"

Cooldowns: R# means you will be able to use that ability again on that round. For example, "R4-Fear" means you can use Fear again in Round 4.
Effects: (#) means you will have that effect for that many turns. For example, "Dodge(2)" means you will have the Dodge ability affect you until it is your turn in two rounds.

ROUND 6

Elbbsas switched back to a protective defensive stance and attacked the weakened Mathyland, aiming to finally kill her rival. She swung her sword hard but remained light on her feet, causing the blade to not hit the Ranger's exposed collar as she wanted. A large gash opened on Mathyland's thigh as the blade came down, however, dealing 9 damage.

Mathyland, now down to a sliver of health, furiously attacked back at Elbbsas. He made an aggressive lunge and thrust at the Mystic's chest, but she managed to slide a little to the side, causing the sword to slightly cut her side and deal 3 damage. The Ranger then suddenly threw down his sword and began to scream and claw away at his armor and skin as the Acid continued to burn him. The screams turned to gurgles as foam poured out of his mouth, and his battle wounds and the scratches he gave himself began to ooze with pus, bringing him to his knees. Finally, he fell on his back and became silent, dead.

Moonstomp, seeing that Elbbsas was now the weakest (and after that display, possibly the most dangerous), attacked her. He held his sword with both hands and chopped down at the Mystic, who again managed to get herself away from the brunt of the blow. The sword still landed, though and took a good chunk out of her forearm, dealing 6 damage.

Jenora watched the vicious battle in front of her and knew Elbbsas would be gone soon. She realized that she very well might be next. Out of the two left, she decided to target Moonstomp. Waving her hands again in front of her in sharp lines, she cast a Fear spell on the Druid, hoping to reduce the damage she might receive in the upcoming rounds.

Wolfgang, still in a Confused state, ran towards one of the other combatants and attacked. He stabbed his sword deep in his enemy's stomach then pulled it back out. As the cursed words disappeared from around him, he shook his head, wiped his eyes, and then looked down. Elbbsas was dead.

"Whoahoho! Two in one round!" the Host yelled. "With Mystic Elbbsas dead, the Orange team is officially eliminated! The Cyan team is survived by Moonstomp, so let's see how the fight will continue."

And technically, Aethelia killed me thanks to confusing Confusions. Nice one!

RNGsus loved Elbbs

Meanwhile my team is stuck at the bottom of the Combat Order basically every time...

I think as an RNG worshipper, Mystic is my favourite class. Kudos to the makers!

And Lord RNG wasn't completely kind. I got "Confuse" as my first ability back, and debuffs are fairly unhelpful when standing on your own. That said, Dodge, Lighting Bolt, and Acid Spray were awesome.

...I was really tempted, halfway through everything, to annouce "I got resurrection!" and see what happened. Probably maximum death on my part, but it would be funny.

ROUND 7

Wolfgang, now able to choose his target, locked onto Moonstomp, who had killed the Paladin's teammate. He held his sword out in front of him and asked his gods to Smite the Druid. The blade again burst into holy flames, and he attacked, dealing 14 damage.

Moonstomp whistled again for his Wolf Companion. It hopped over the walls, saw its master pointing at Jenora, then attacked. The Bard, in her defensive stance, was able to meet the wolf's attack and jump back before it could really get a hold of her, lessening the damage to only 4.

Jenora then got into an offensive stance and attacked Wolfgang. She struck him with her sword, dealing 12 damage.

ROUND 8

Moonstomp again morphed into his Beast Form. He charged towards Wolfgang, but as he got closer his Fear started to rise. By the time he was within striking distance, he was overcome with terror and turned around and ran away. The red mist of the fear spell then wisped away from his eyes.

Jenora got back into a defensive stance and again targeted Moonstomp. This time she cast a Confuse spell on him, causing the whispering purple words to begin to float around his head.

Wolfgang turned his attack this time to Jenora. His attack was reduced by her defensive stance, however, dealing only 3 damage.
