It's not a festival without an AMA type of thread, and here it is.  In this thread, you can mention any member (aka putting @ before their name) and ask them any question that you want.  Will they answer it? Well, that's entirely up to them, but this is your chance to get to know members better...especially any guests from other regions that stop on by.

Asking questions... I've found that to be one of the more effective ways to further information gathering. Can often be faster than observing to find specific details. So I like this idea.
Though I don't mean to necessarily start a trend of asking something of the previous poster, it does seem best to ask something of someone who has already consented to the idea of this AMA topic. I'll make the first one easy at least.

How do you pronounce Valeria? Also, how many syllables are in Valeria and is it permissible to just say "Valeria" or does it need "The Noble House" before it? Does "Valeria" have modifications akin to "English" or "American" and how do you pronounce those?

I tend to pronounce it Vuh-leer-ee-a or Vuh-lair-ee-a (sorry for not knowing IPA), with an accent on the second syllable, though I don't know how the others pronounce it.

It's a family name, so it typically doesn't have any variants, and while I would have preferred to go by the Roman rules, it turns out that Valerius is taken as an NS family already, so we didn't go with that. But I have on occasion seen my brothers use "Valerian." And no, no Noble House required. (I didn't even change it in my profile because it was only Laurentus who got ennobled .)

I'm guessing maybe Elbbs didn't mention him because he hasn't posted in the Summersend forum, and this AMA thread kinda implies that it is for the festival goers?

Thanks everyone. I was going to use Valeria and Penguon for the song I submitted, then I realised New Hyperion and Wintreath would be more meaningful (especially since there are far too many houses to sneak a reference into for that one line. Who knows, maybe I'll reference all the houses next year/stanza). =D

That said, I'm going to quickly drop the "New" from it. Thank goodness. The syllable count was one too long in that line.

(And yes, I was sticking to mentioning people I'd seen around recently).
