All was peaceful on the Imperial planet of Wintreath. Weapons were being tested at the various ranges, tanks and armored personnel carriers were being driven around, and Imperial Guardsmen were being put through various combat exercises. Then Space Marines rained from the sky in their drop pods. The Space Wolves had arrived and made their intent clear. They were to eliminate the Chaos presence sprouting on the planet. The Space Marines decided not to trust any Imperial Guardsman, as any of them could be tainted. Soon, the snowy tundra would be turned red...
Welcome to Werewolf XI! Allow me to lay down the different roles really quick.

Space Marines are the defenders. They may choose a target to defend every night, but never the same target twice in a row.

The Librarian is the Space Marine seer.  The seer may choose to scan someone every night.

Chaos Guardsmen are the wolves. They may choose a target to kill every night.

The Chaos Sorcerer is the wolf seer. Same thing as the Librarian.

The Imperial Guardsmen are everyone else.

And now for some rules...

The Imperium of Man wins once Chaos is eliminated. Chaos wins once all other players have been eliminated. Seers cannot see the roles of power players on the other team unless that team's seer has been eliminated. In the instance a power player of another team is scanned without their seer first being eliminated, all that will be seen is "Imperial Guardsman". Imperial Guardsmen cannot be added to the Librarian's chat upon being scanned.

How many Defenders and Chaos Guardsmen are there? Also, Chaos has to kill all others rather than just to equal their numbers, right?

2 Defenders, 2 Wolves. And yes, all others must die to appease the Chaos gods. Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!

Also, I hadn't realized how few Imperial Guardsmen there would be left until after I assigned roles... If you didn't get a PM from me, you're just an Imperial Guardsman.

The short length of rules is... refreshing, but it presents some challenges.

Are there inactivity lynches? How long do day and night phases last? Which one are we starting in, and when does it end? Are abstentions, voting for yourself, or voting "no lynch" allowed? Are you allowed to reveal or hint at your role?

Yes, inactivity will get you lynched. You get two day phases before you're gone and must vote at least once before the two day phases are up. Day phases last 48 hours, night phases last 24 hours. The starting phase is day and will last 72 hours. You can vote for yourself, but "no lynch" is not allowed. No revealing or hinting at your role.

This phase counts as a "must vote" phase. The auto-lynch counter will reset itself after you vote because I'm feeling generous.

Well as someone whose memory of the rules is best summarized as 'I played Secret Hitler like twice', this is all great information to have. Particularly since Secret Hitler (and Avalon and Revolution) all have different, more directed rules than this.

Anyway. Let's start the shenanigans.

Bet they've got a whole lot of good stuff. Bolt pistols and the like.
Maybe even a commissar hat. And if I have the hat, I have the power, and then I can take all the bits I want. Not to mention that the hat looks good.
Oh and I guess we kill all the chaos types too, but technically I don't get to keep stuff unless there's a war on because I'm supposed to call it 'war salvage', so how about the chaos types just say 'blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne', we know who you are, and then we get to shooting so I can take your bits?
If that won't happen, I'll just go out on a limb and say that Guardsman Ronald McDonald is definitely working for Chaos, because who does Hydras? Alpha Legion. What is Alpha Legion? Chaos Space Marines. How is Ronald McDonald related to hydras? Played by xXTheHydraXx. Thought I wouldn't notice that, eh, Secret Alpha Legionaire?

So what Aragonn is basically saying is that Hydra is not Ronald Macdonald, but we all still know that Ronald is an evil character

But still that doesn't change the underlying argument. Hydras = Alpha Legion, Alpha Legion = Chaos, thus Hydra = Chaos.
Ergo ipso facto. Which might not mean what I think it does, my High Gothic is a bit shit.
