So I've been told. But the opportunity seemed to good to pass up. I guess it's my fault I wasn't here to understand that we had to create nations far beforehand, but I'll try to persevere regardless. If you think it'll be too burdening for me or my nation, feel free to kick me out of the region, and I'll completely understand.

As competitive as I am, I'm not necessarily playing to "win" this RP, although if I did, it would be much sweeter of a reward.

I have plenty of infantry with flintlock rifles, howitzers, mortars, and some winged Hussars. Come at me!

I'm being very pedantic/nitpicky here, but technically, with your tech level, you'd be looking at infantry with flintlock muskets, since rifles had significantly higher reloading times (because the black powder would foul up the barrel) and were difficult to use. (Rifles were in existence, but mostly as sharpshooter and hunting weapons.)

Flintlock muskets then. Rifles will be reserved for the Hunters (Aesir snipers).

Let them know the thunder of my howitzers, the earth shaking barrage of steel and flesh that is my Berserkers.

I take it you're not a big fan of military strategy. You'll definitely need a million men just to gain a beachhead in my land since it's pretty fortified. Howitzers raining explosive ordnance on your men from redoubt walls will show you how the term "cannon fodder" came to be.

Take my advice and hold off any attacks until more information is present.

Kiddo, I can out strategize my strategy teacher. I'm a monster when it comes to tactics and strategy. I once spent days poring over military maps of the old Soviet Union to create the quickest and most assured route of conquest to take Moscow.

Please tell me you realise that it would be essentially impossible to devise the "quickest way to take Moscow" given ANY army at the time.  Much familiarity with the Soviet Deep Battle?  Their entire strategy depends upon overconfidence and overextended enemy forces.  And don't even get me started on supply lines. Perhaps you could "devise the quickest way to Moskva."

Even assuming that'd be possible (it wouldn't), you'd arrive without concrete supply lines that Soviet forces could easily sever. Dependable, secure supply ljnes take time to create—especially during WWI and the interwar period.  They didn't have C-130s back in the day, after all.

@Gattoartico Your advance through my lands will be slow and bloody. And that's if I don't put a stop to you. Kudos to you for outwitting your strategy teacher. Kudos for even having a strategy teacher. You're hitting a superior force who has the home field advantage. Take my advice and bide your time. An opportunity may present itself in the future.

I thought we were talking about the RP. Gattoartico was threatening immediate and long-term war with me, and I was telling him how much of a mistake that would be.

And then it devolved into basically calling each other's strategies shit, talking about the second world war, and generally making things unpleasant.

As a wise man once said, Hyperians (and other Wintreans, it now seems), like to throw things off track.
