The Wintrean Troll is commonly found throughout the grand region; it is one of the most common creatures. They often enjoy to find shelter in caves, and can be seen sacrificing animals, or indeed humans to their gods. Troll society is primitive and violent, and often poses a threat to the more advanced societies that surround them. Their flimsy weapons are often rust-coated, and if any caused injuries are not swiftly treated, they may cause gangrenous infections. Their primitive tribal communities often require that once a young Troll reaches the age of fourteen, their ears are pointed and bound with leather straps. To them, this symbolises that they are reaching adulthood. There is not much else to comment on these simple beings, other than, if you are traversing the wilds of Wintreath, listen for the hoot of an ivory horn, for this heralds the arrival of the Trolls.

Sounds scary...good thing Monarchs are always well protected when they travel.

This small but feisty cuttlefish can be found walking along the seafloor on arms and fins—a rarer mode of transit for these otherwise adept swimmers. The cuttlefish's flat body allows it to live and hover near the ocean bottom where it hibernates. Every month or so, the cuttlefish can be seen chipping at the ice, trying to extract any trapped plankton or bacteria, and after it finds a sufficient amount, it resumes it's hibernation under and around the sand.

I like these trolls, especially the mention of their having some basic communal civilisation thing going on. Are they a threat to every human that encounters them, or can they be peaceable as well?

They can understand basic human terms, and if you spoke to them slowly and carefully enough, you could probably make them understand that you pose no threat to them, although they may still turn on you for their own benefit (eg. food [flesh]). Bribing them not to hurt you would also be an option, like if you presented them with armour or food.

Iiiinteresting. I like this quite a bit, would you mind too much if they were used in the House RP as background NPC type characters? A bit like goblins in a pen and paper RPG game or similar
