The Citizenship Integration Amendment Act

Title
1) This Act shall be cited as the Citizenship Integration Amendment Act.

Amendments
2) The following shall be inserted into Section 2 of the Citizenship and Demonym Act, with subsequent subsections being renumbered accordingly:

2.1 Prospective Citizens shall have made at least five posts on the regional forum prior to approval of their application for Citizenship.

Discussion is ongoing in this thread but as it seems that most of the discussion has now moved on to ways in which to make forum membership more attractive to RMB users I think we should start looking this over here and deciding about implementing it

I like the bill as-is, although as it stands, the "title" header has both sections 1 and 2; I think that is the only thing needing a fix Meanwhile, I encourage you all to contribute to the discussion in the linked thread, as it describes more about what citizenship means to the region rather than arguing the technical aspects here. Not that arguing over technical matters is a bad thing

Discussion has been sparse, and that's probably my fault to an extent. Regardless of what happens in Tatte's discussion thread, which I still encourage all of you to check out, we have to decide on the fate of this bill.

I feel like I've already discussed as much as I'm willing, since I'm in full support of this bill, and that hasn't waivered.

Regardless, I make a motion to vote.

With adjustments I plan on making to the mentor system, I can support this.  I'll second the motion to vote.

I'll third, in that case. I think Tatte and Chanku have valid concerns but a 5 post requirement for citizenship isn't going to put off anyone who's actually committed anyway. What I would like to see, however, is a discussion of how we can implement residency as a way of preventing people signing up and feeling like they're being excluded from our community. That'll be something we should take into the CitPlat thread, though.

I think I should look into a Civil Service Guild idea again, where such things can be tackled by everyone in the community without relying on the legislative for everything.

Unfortunately, I don't have the time to run such a guild.
