I second the motion.

I'm not happy with motioning to vote on the current Act - we currently don't have any examples of evidence, which I would very much like to be included for future reference if we're going through with this, which it appears we are.

Considering that the current bill has been up for debate for this long, and very few people bothered to comment on the content of the bill before now, I'm pushing ahead.

The evidence has been submitted in various threads, so it's still there to see.

Though maybe we should extend by 12 hours to perfect the Act? I'm worried what the IH would do.

Alright, I'm motioning to extend debate by 24 hours. If people still haven't given proper comments on the content of the bill by then, then I'm really pushing forward.

I don't technically possess the authority to deny a motion, and because the motion to vote was passed first, I will submit a voting thread unless one of you retracts your voting motion. I do have the power, however, to delay the voting thread for 24 hours while Govindia releases his statement. I will note this is a final warning because of the extensions granted to him already.

I still believe we need an extension not to buy time for him, but to include proper evidence in the bill.

I suggest we use this time to modify our bill, because otherwise I will invoke the "active discussion" clause of rule 3(b).

Agreed.  This time needs to be used wisely...by ALL parties.  Modifications should definitely be made, but this also a heads up to Gov as well that he has an extra day to get his statement out there before we potentially start going into voting.

I wholeheartedly agree. Whoever had mentioned wanting to include evidence, I suggest that they get to work immediately on writing it in.

1. This Act will be titled the Revocation of Govindia's Citizenship.

Terms
2. The Storting recognizes the Citizen Govindia's harmful, however unintentional, habit of harassing other Citizens, to the point that several long-lasting administrative actions have been taken against him. The Storting regrets that the community cannot help Citizen Govindia, as it understands him to be a good-natured citizen who doesn't always realize the harm he does.

3.  The Storting remembers the previous attempt to revoke Citizenship on April 29 - May 1, 2015, and the complaints and evidence presented therein. 

4.  The Storting acknowledges the evidence provided by the Monarch detailing the events of August 8 - September 1 and October 3, 2015

5.  The Storting recognizes Govindia's actions against Jarl of Information HannahB and the Monarch on January 22-23, 2016, at which time he was placed on probation, and his violation of such probation on February ?? 2016 which resulted in a permanent ban from Wintreath IRC channels. 

6. With this in mind the Storting shall hereby revoke the Citizenship of Govindia.

7. The Storting notes that it affirms the right to appeal this Act through all the lawful channels in which this may be done.

If anyone has the exact date for when Gov violated his probation, it would be much appreciated.  I couldn't gleam it from the logs.

This I can support, although I cannot vote for it. Would it perhaps be wise to add sections (rather than just numbered points) and a new one for evidence links?
