I am interested in making some additions to user profiles, and wanted to get some feedback on it. In particular, I would like to give people the ability to make character and nation profiles. Character profiles could be used to detail characters that are used casually in the region (like my own, Inric Nordrim Kestar), those used in relation to their nations, or those used in any of our roleplays. Similarly, nation profiles could be used the same way...they would not necessarily tie in or link to a NS nation, so you could create a nation on here without having it exist in NS. I imagine this would be good for our own roleplays, for instance.

Both types of profiles would be accessible from the user profile, in that a list of nations and characters linked to that user will be listed, and people can click those links to access each profile. I'm still in the process of figuring out what fields/options should be included in these profiles. I would appreciate input, comments, and suggestions from anyone on this idea.

Input:  Gosh would this be awesome.  You could have multiple profiles, yes?  Like the Romulan Star Empire for From the Ashes and then easily switch to Marius Ulbricht Valeria for the family RP?  This is going to be AWESOME. 

Yes, there could be multiple profiles. The way I imagine it working is that each character would be listed in a menu, and each nation be listed in another menu.

In addition to specific fields, you might want to add a section where you can just put anything.

I think we have that already, although it is an extended "about me" box... I used to use it for just anything though.

I think keeping it basic with:

Name
Age
Gender


And an about me section and (maybe) a backstory section would work fine enough.

Definitely a history section. That is universal. Nations, people, worlds. All have histories...

EDIT: I'm not a history major, even if I might sound like one.

Haha, well it's true.  History is a necessity because everyone has a backstory of some sort...and likewise, as you said, nations and even worlds have a history of how they came to be.  Nations didn't just exist since the beginning of time, they were established by others. 

What fields should we have for nations besides history?
