I'm not in favor of your "seasons", but I'll entertain the idea. Could you explain more as to how this would work for RPs?

Like every two months or so we could have a weeklong pause/discussion and allow new people to join, like an infusion of new ideas and excitement to ensure that the RP doesn't stagnate.  Does that sound good?  You could probably tweak it a bit to make it better...

I most definitely will tweak it to make it better. Just wait a few hours for me to have the time to sit down and think about it.

They never really said they would be anonymous, or requested anonymity.  They go by WhiteMamba on the channel.

He simply said he'd still be in the region for a bit while, but he was departing the RP and IRC.  I'm not sure what his forum name was here.

He also didn't elaborate on details, and left the channel before I or anyone else could ask him :-/

Well, I think there's been a lot of good discussion in here, and maybe the guild will come up with ways to integrate new RPers into things going on more easily. However, it was the holidays, and people are going to be away and less active than usual, and RP is no exception.

I have been attempting to maintain at least some activity through the holiday season and through moving (Which I'm still not 100% done with just yet. I need motivation to clean up the old place... )

I'm sorry WhiteMamba didn't have a pleasant experience, but without patience and understanding that life happens, especially during the holidays, you're not going to have a good time in our RP Guild because you just don't understand or have fallen victim to the thing that is known as instant gratification.

Yeah, this is true, but in this particulat case I'm also at fault because I kept saying I'd get the OP up and then delayed. Apologies to WhiteMamba (if you happen to be reading this) and anyone else waiting on it.

I'm not sure how I feel about this tbh. I think having a designated week for introductions would be ineffective as we'd be depending on new RPers joining around that time period as opposed to any other time. And while the  idea of a weeklong pause for discussion to combat stagnation sounds neat in theory, I've personally found that when discussion is coerced like that it dies pretty quickly.

I'm not necessarily entirely opposed to it though, I'm interested to see Aragonn's tweaks.
