The Exodites have a variety of unique technology that will be explored here in brief.
Military Technology
-Laser Carbines: standard-issue portable laser weapons fueled by multi-use nuclear batteries. Capable of punching through most infantry armor as well as thin terrestrial vehicle armor with no more than five hits. If loaded with bolts made from depleted uranium or a similarly dense alloy, this anti-infantry weapon can rapidly become a useful anti-armor weapon at close range.
-Caishing Nanoswords: Named for the sound made when drawn from their vacuum sheaths, Caishing nanoswords are sharpened down to the atom at their creation. A unique silicon-carbon-iron alloy allows them to consistently be sharp down to the molecule even after use. The blades are capable of slicing through mithrillium alloy if given enough pressure, and can be enhanced with plasma and electrical coatings.
-Hydrogen bombs: Self explanatory to anyone born after 1961. The Exodites like 'em big. Like, planet-cracking big.
-Antimatter Explosives: harvested from gas clouds and produced by giant particle accelerator arrays on settled worlds, antimatter projectiles are available for use by Exodite Army special forces or by the largest Dreadnoughts of the Fleet.
-Plasmatip missiles: space-borne projectiles approaching a target protected an atmosphere by heavily shields will have a small onboard nuclear generator works to produce a layer of plasma on the leading edge of the missile, giving it greater penetrating power and freeing it from much atmospheric interference.
-Cloaking: Primitive cloaking devices can allow stationary objects to be invisible to most kinds of visible light, and allows for moving objects like Scouts and Scout vessels to remain undetected.
-Reaper: TBW, Researching
War Mantle
The War Mantle is the name for an extremely advanced regenerative infantry power armor, crafted delicately by the most skilled Builders and the wisest and most learned Occultists for commanders on the ground or in combat.
-Defense: Making liberal use of nanotechnology, the War Mantle uses microscopic shock absorbers, super-strong carbon fiber, and the highest power energy shield that you can find outside of a spacecraft to protect it's wearer. In testing, users have actually been seen throwing out the folds of the Mantle to "intercept" high-caliber bullets coming from stationary guns (obviously, the reflexes aren't actually that fast to intercept bullets: they blocked bullets they knew were coming).
-Strength: Micromachinery and a thin yet high-strength mithrilium load bearing exoskeleton not only renders the heavy armor super light to it's wearer, but gives the user strength and agility abilities unseen anywhere else, except perhaps for industrial lifting exoskeletons.
-Sight: As the War Mantle is predominantly used by high-level battlefield commanders, the helm of the armor is packed with sensors and micro-supercomputers (the processing power of IRL iPhones) as well as a highly encrypted and powerful communication line, allowing for the wearer to be extremely aware of his surroundings and able to access all tactical options.
-Regeneration: Nanites play a large role in the War Mantle. Using carbon from wrecked parts, dust in the air, or even scrubbed from CO2 in the atmosphere, they can repair the armor over time. Large wounds take longer to heal than small wounds, but as long as the Core isn't significantly damaged, given enough carbon the entire Mantle can be rebuilt from scratch.
-ONE WITH THE ARMOR, ONE WITH THE FIGHT: The nanites also do something rather... unsettling, when a Damli puts on the War Mantle. They immediately and seamlessly merge the armor with the body, nerves, and muscle of the operator, turning the War Mantle and the Damli pilot into one symbiotic organism built for the destruction of others. This allows for a flawless and smooth and easy command of the myriad parts and controls of the Mantle. However, the disadvantages of this are spelled down below.
-The one weakness, the Core: the crystalline fusion battery and the surrounding micro-quantum computer system that fuels and commands the entire War Mantle is called "the Core", and it is typically worn either on the chest or the back of the operator, depending on their preference. The Core is heavily armored, but if it damaged beyond repaired or destroyed by a high-powered explosive or anti-tank weapon, the entire Mantle system would be disabled, rendering the armor greatly weakened, unable to regenerate, and too heavy to be carried. And, if the power of the Core and the nanites were to fail before the emergency ejection sequence is complete, or if the Damli pilot had received significant brain damage before activating the armor... Let's just say the result is very painful and very ugly, even if the pilot somehow briefly survives.
-Hellfire compound: "Hellfire" is the generic Damli term for the real-life chemical Chlorine trifluoride (ClF
3). Used as an incendiary weapon, the chemical is a favorite of Occultists and Demolitionists, since it is incredibly reactive and can even set fire to
ashes. It is usually kept as a liquid in quartz containers within weapons that utilize the compound until it is ready to be used.
MEDICAL/OTHER
-Medical nanobots: known by the Builders as "medic in a bottle" and to Medics and Occultists as "nanites", these are microscopic robots designed to destroy cancer and diseases as well as repair damaged tissue (only if given the time and material to do so, however).
-Scanner: A pocket supercomputer that uses a fluctuating beam of light to scan objects and tell everything it can about the object to it's user.
-Mistarillium alloy: a special alloy made from gold, aluminum, carbon, and traces of several heavier elements, mistarillium is an indispensable resource of the Exodite Dominion. It is heat resistant, lightweight, strong yet flexible, but incredibly difficult to work without using advanced tools and precise engineering at extremely high temperatures.
