Before we get this RP started, I want to elaborate a bit on the backstory, because I feel that some of it won't fit nicely into the introductory IC post.

Centuries before this RP began, the Frozen Realm of Wintreath controlled essentially the entire galaxy, but fell in a similar way as Asimov's Galactic Empire in Foundation. War tore the galaxy apart, and since hyperspace routes constantly change, many of them were lost, Many systems regressed technologically (some even falling to pre-industrial levels).

Over time, however, nations were able to grow, holding more and more systems, and began charting long-forgotten routes through the galaxy. Now, as the RP begins, nations across the galaxy are finally able to make contact with one another, and the fun starts.

Because of the backstory of this RP, I think it might make sense for neighboring nations to have already had contact/relations with each other in the past. Of course, you will have to discuss that first OOC.

There has already been considerable discussion on this RP in the the Guild, if you haven't checked that out already.

Another note: please keep the IC thread entirely IC, and make any OOC comments here instead. Please also follow general RP rules and conventions.

Yeah, I think the Democratic Empire will probably have relations with the Aesir and Laurentian Empires.

You're just as close to Lernaea, though, so it would be logical for you to have contact with them too, right?

Of course. But no guarantees for it being a positive relation.

Just out of curiosity, did you guys realise who the Imperial Prince is?

If you did, I think you might have been less willing to pursue relations.

Or even more willing to make positive relations since we don't want to be on his bad side.

If you weren't scared of those lancer batteries, I'd say you were a few rounds short of a full clip. Those batteries are much stronger than turbolasers.

Then there's the MAC in the longboats (only starting the RP with one longboat). I don't care what kind of shields you have on your ship. Those shields will go down with one shot from that thing.
