I didn't see your link to the article, I looked it over. It answers a lot of my questions I have with the procedure. I'd have to do more research to see if I'd do it myself, because I have a pretty huge life insurance policy and could definitely afford it.

However, it's always a long shot to bank on technology that doesn't exist yet.. pretty much every prediction about the state of future technology has been wrong to date, so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't likely be wrong here.. I'd rather my children just get the money, rather than some cryonicist's children. It's impressive how much they've been able to reduce costs in such a short time though, apparently there is a lot of interest in this technology.

I do this all the time, even though I am the only one who ever see's or actually has a use for it. Most of the time I just make websites more aesthetically pleasing or make them more user friendly, but sometimes I'll write some code in Python. For instance, currently, for no other reason than just 'cause, I'm making a web crawler for a specific website just because I somehow became obsessed with them.

I made an automounter for USB drives. I should note I'm on Devuan Linux and I'm on a more minimal build so I don't have auto-mounting USB drives. So I wrote my own python 3 script to do so...well it does more than that actually...it manages them a bit. If you plug in a USB device into the computer it will auto-mount them, if you unplug it it will unmount them (albeit doing this isn't safe and so doing so may lead to corruption, however it does manage that case). If you want you can manually mount or unmount devices as well. You can even make devices that were mounted (and thus managed) by the software unmanaged, or make them managed again, or make drives that you mounted prior to the software running managed. You can add special mount points for a drive/drive partition, you can blacklist certain drives (well their partition), you can also set if the amount of checking it does to see if a new drive was added increases with each unsuccessful check.

It surprisingly works rather well, albeit it only supports fully mounting ext partitions, anything else would require a bit more work... (I can share the code if you want )
