I sometimes really hate living in the midwest ;o;
It's always so cold here in the winter.

Same. I love the  old, but only when there's snow. Standing by my bus stop in dry 20 degree weather is miserable.

Want snow? Come on up here to the Great Lakes and take as much as you want. We don't need it.

So today I shot a gun for the first time in my life. Christ alive, it was terrifying. When I held it, no real problem. When I holstered it, my hands just would not stop shaking. And its just a 38.

Researching for stories is too hard and I suck at it ;o;

Doing the work i should be doing is really hard... Yay Social Media!

Why is it that shit can't just happen or just work? It seems like especially at work I'm constantly having to take time to resolve things that should just work...but because of faulty processes or people messing up they rarely do. >_>

Isn't that essentially codified as Murphy's Law? That's usually explained as selection bias combined with bad events happening occasionally.

I don't mind things going wrong...but it pisses me off that I have to do more work because other people are lazy or just can't be bothered to make sure things they're responsible for are right. =|

Ah, of course. Having to correct the mistakes of others, especially when it's their responsibility, is a pain.

This is why I'm a tyrant when it comes to group projects. No one slacks, and everyone cleans up their own messes, while I'm in their team. If they don't, I push them out of the group and don't lose a night's sleep about their problems. I'm very much a ruthless businessman when people don't do what they're supposed to do.

Idiots still exist. People are getting stupider, and that logically leads to more racism, not less.

With the ANC's (in my mind quite deliberate) useless schooling policies, people in South Africa are getting more and more uneducated. Of course, it doesn't help that there's a holdover culture from the apartheid regime where pupils burn down their schools to show their displeasure at the government.
