Weissreich created it as part The Wonderful World of Wintreath...our regional lore and information area that roleplays can draw upon if they'd like. He intended to create an intricate House RP, but then got busy in real life before he could get it off the ground. =/

I've been seeing him around here a lot. Perhaps we should name the guild after him.

Alright, so looking over the map and the thread in which it was posted, I'm cool with using that map and the history thst accompanies it. Of course that's just my opinion, I'd like other people to weigh in too; I'm not sure everyone could reconcile their nations' lore and stuff with the detail in Weissreich's design. I'm going to trawl through that subforum for a bit now, in case there's other important things I've missed.

I would support naming the Guild after Weiss, despite having never personally interacted with them

I'm not sure how my continuity could be contained on Weiss' map. No disrespect to him, and I think he'd know that.

What we could try to do is incorporate Weiss' map into a larger world map for the next generation. Merging the old and new.

That's a good idea; I wasn't sure either about how it would fit, but at the same time I don't want Weiss's work to be totally forgotten.

Gerrick, I know nothing about your mapmaking process, but would it be possible for you to make an approximation of his map as part of a larger one?

Well, shit, that's a pretty good map for being hand-drawn. I noticed that it doesn't have any of the players' nations, though, which is what I assumed was wanted in the Wintreath Union rp. This seems to be representative of the region if it was a very large nation itself.

We could just use this map and say that the scale of it is much larger than it appears then add our nations over it (just by creating a layer over the picture with our boundaries (this would by far be the easiest) or I could attempt to remake it in a program -- note the word "attempt", though).

Or I could try to incorporate it into a larger map (like stick it in the middle and build around it).

Or we could create a separate map, or just use the map as is.

Use me as a tool however it's needed. Or don't -- less work for me. I won't be offended. I'm up for whatever.

We could make it the neutral center of the Wintreath Union, where many foreign dignitaries, journalists and whatnot stay almost permanently, thus explaining its size, as we'd have a whole hell of a lot of people staying on it, and then just expand our world map with everyone's actual countries.

My computer cannot run Skyrim properly. I tried playing Morrowind a few months back, but didn't get far into the game.

Huh. My windows tablet can run it semi-decently on its lowest settings. My gaming PC has no problems whatsoever with its maximum settings and quite a few graphical mods. I've heard that its performance tends to be unpredictable, though.

Also, be sure to get the Morrowind Graphic and Sound Overhaul 3.0. It doesn't really do anything for the outdated gameplay, but it looks very nice. Better than vanilla Skyrim, in my opinion. And its story is also infinitely better.

But really, just read up on the lore. It is amazing.
