I don't know about that. This is a sci-fi. What you've just described is a bit too magical. I would feel better were it some advanced alien tech you pick up at some stage that only rarely works.

Okay if your really not okay with it we can explain it away with alien tech something like that. I just did that because it was a religious miracle, so some people really believe it to be true. And Religion wouldn't go away as soon as we start going into space.

Plus tons of sci-fi movies and show have Christian symbolism so why not pagan celtic?

Your character could attribute it to providence by the gods. Just making it more ambiguous is more interesting. It would create an interesting divide between religious characters, and characters like Hendrik. The debates would be epic.

I'll imagine it be like Han Solo who says its all luck or skill, while the other persists is the force. But a lot more dramatic.

Cold, callous and with no regard for life at all (unless it is life he is paid to protect), HKR is one of the most useful but also the most dangerous member of the crew.

Special: His programing and years of experience make him an experienced killer with no regard for any life, even his own.

 @Laurentus I  thought that Wintreath was a sector within the galaxy, sort of like the United Federation of Planets.  Besides, the majority of the population of Andromedian is Vulcan.

Then you obviously didn't read the premise properly.

Which one would work for you?: 1. That Vulcans are a distinct species that evolved along with us; 2. That Vulcans are an alien race that we'll encounter later or; 3. That you're the product of genetic modification?

It should be noted that we could work you into the plot as a lone alien we discover shortly after starting our journey, and that you contacted the planet we came from, and our leadership kept you a secret, apart from the captain. And now you wish to join forces with us.
