So due to last month's lack of nominations, I've decided to expand a bit and see how it goes.  Instead of being confined to simply classic games, nominations are open for practically any and all games that you believe people should give a try (within reason).  But please keep in mind that console specific games aren't something that everyone can try (as some have one console, others might have a different one), so no nominations for PS2/Xbox/Gamecube/DS, or any of the later consoles.

With that in mind, please just keep it to games that are accessible to everyone, or at least 99% of everyone.  Games included can be: Classic games (from its beginnings to GBA/PS1/N64/Dreamcast), flash/java/web games (found on sites like kongregate.com), Free MMO games (onRPG has a decent sized list), mobile games, and PC games that are easily obtainable.

And of course, please keep it legal if some of these games normally have a price tag attached to them.

Since we do absolutely nothing with this, I nominate Final Fantasy VI, as I've been watching some LPs of it recently.

No way I could complete that game in a month with the time I have available.

If I may, I'd like to nominate Hearthstone. It's a great CCG game made by Blizzard (aka WoW) that is completely free to play, runs on both Windows and Mac, and we can have fun games we play against each other.

And I wanna play against people!

I've heard of it, but I have to admit I get it confused with Heroes of the Storm and stuff...I'm not really up to date on Blizzard's newest offerings.

Hearthstone has been out for kind of a while now...
And Heroes of the Storm is still in paid beta. (also not very good)

Anyways I fucking suck at Hearthstone but my roommate plays...

The newest thing I've really played from Blizzard is World of Warcraft, so...

I'm pretty good at Hearhstone and admittedly I have a soft spot for CCG's.

I nominate FFXIV it has a freetrial thing for 14 days if i am not mistaken.

A subscription based MMO?

I actually don't recall how FFXIV does it.  I think you can download the game and have a free trial on consoles, but I'm not sure about the PC.

I can add FFXIV though.  While it's typically subscription based, it's still a game that most people would have access to unless their computer doesn't mean the specs.

On that note, I'll nominate DC Universe.  It's a pretty fun MMO, and it's free.  When you pay the subscription fee, you're just paying for all of the extra content that it'd come with.  But you have the option to play the base game without buying a subscription, and you can buy all of the extra content separately.

Oh I have DC universe, it is rather fun but slowpaced. Not a lot of players either.

They opened cross platform not to long ago so there's now more players. Not as many as MMOs...
If we're looking for superhero MMOs though there's Heroes online which is better...

I've never heard of Heroes Online.  Is it anything like Champions Online?
