1. Title
1.1 This Act shall be titled "Rectification of Seating Act"

2. Preamble and Purpose
2.1 Noting that the proposed and accepted number of seven (7) seats for the 4th Term of the Underhusen is slightly beyond the means of the region to adequately supply at this time, this Act seeks to rectify this problem.

3. Seating
3.1 The number of seats for the 4th term of the Underhusen is hereby altered to five (5) seats to reflect the new position of this body.

4. Compliance with existing Legislation
4.1 This Act shall supplant the provisions of the "Underhusen Seats for the 4th Storting" Act, as outlined above.

Following procedure, this Act will be open to debate for a period of 48 hours, after which Skifra may motion to vote or motion to extend the debate, barring a motion to expedite by the Speaker.

I'd prefer to get this passed as soon as possible, I think. Friday at 6-ish is quite close to the elections, so having this changed sooner gives people more time to change their candidates from a choice of seven to a pool of five. Hopefully, that'll mean everyone's happy with the change as there'll be no problems in terms of moaning etc.

This does make the seat numbers five :p I laid out a few arguments for the change in the discussion thread for this idea if you wanna look.

The problem with 6 is we'd need to draft stuff to deal with ties and I'm sure there'll be disagreement on that front, so it's easier to do this, draft legislation to deal with ties, and then see how activity goes - at least then the provision is there if we want 6, or 8 even in the future!

Also Chanku, I was talking about an amendment to add in how we deal with ties, which at the same time could increase the maximum seat numbers.

We already have procedure Weiss, it moves to the Overhusen for a vote.
