I was not sure where to post this, as it is a request to his majesty.

I wish to start my own regional newspaper for the consumption of the people of Wintreath. It would be a newspaper website with news summaries, articles and opinions.

I wish it to be called 'The Wintreath Guardian'.

I am by no means claiming it should be the main or only newspaper in the region. It is a newspaper started by myself for the consumption of everyone in Wintreath. As a citizen of the region, I should be allowed to start this.

I request forum space for this paper.

This is a mixture of a request and a demand lol...interesting.

I have RL news writing experience if you need help.  You can also interview me for your first article

And Stark, you should start a thread in the Civil Service, where you can work on it and people can contribute. I can help organize if you want.

I agree with Stacky, this falls within the remit of the Civil Service if it's going to become a regionally-endorsed thing. Plus it'll get a little boost from the guys n gals who're experienced with writing articles for the Orendi

In fact, we're undertaking two significant projects to get rid of unnecessary forums as it is...putting that much work into the issue, I have to be a little cheap with giving out forums.

Because its a newspaper and its need offices. Topics for staffing as well as the individual edition themselves and comments below.

I should be allowed one forum space to create a good newspaper. There are plenty of RP forums that can be removed to allow me one space.

It's not really a matter of money, it's a matter of principle. We give RP's their own forums because they require more than one topic. If you need to organize your staff and such, you can use email, forum PM, telegram, or even IRC. Hell, you could even use a carrier pigeon...

Even the regional publications don't have their own forums...they're done as part of the Civil Service forum. In the regions which have forums for private media, those forums are usually very inactive and dead. It has been expressed by the Citizens of the region that the forums should be streamlined, including not having subforums which can be merged elsewhere or are otherwise dead. If I were to approve your request, I would have to also approve it for everyone else, resulting in a lot of dead forums.

I'll let your statement that the RP forums aren't very important in comparison stand as it is.

Also as has been stated before, we don't take donations in exchange of favours. Donators are treated as fairly as other members of the community.
