Not sure how feasible this is, but on the Personal Stats page accessible through the UCP, perhaps it'd be a nice feature to have a break-down of where you got your likes and dislikes.

For me, with the stuff I'm working on for the culture side of things, it'd be quite useful to know the sort of response I'm getting in terms of likes/dislikes on posts, without having to go through all my recent postings, find the post and see it that way. I know there's an example of this over at The Comment Section forums, if that's any help.

The Comment Section has a notification system that informs you of new likes and dislikes, as well as what post they're on. I don't think they use Simple Machines, though - in fact, they use phpBB, so I don't know if there's similar systems available on SMF.

That probably isn't an option while we're using SMF 2.0...may be an option with 2.1, since they're adding in a notification/alerts area. For those technically-minded, see the SMF development post about it here.

As for the original idea...would be nice to have and I've wanted to do something like that since we originally rolled out karma, but with everything else in the pipeline I doubt it'll happen anytime soon. I am only one man, you know.
