I'm happy to announce that Chanku has accepted an advisory position in the Riksråd!
While he will weigh in all Cabinet discussions, Chanku's specialty will be on matters pertaining to NationStates Gameplay (NSGP). As you know we haven't been very involved in this area in many years, but the fact of the matter is that this has not been to our benefit. It's left us blind to issues and matters that are important for the security and well-being of our region and community, and it's left us feeble against those that would do us harm. As a member of our leadership team, Chanku will provide prospective and advice on how to navigate the often treacherous waters of this area when it is necessary for us to do so.
Among Wintreans, Chanku is uniquely suited for this role...he has been a Citizen of the region since nearly the beginning and over the past four years has been involved in almost every aspect of the region to some extent, including a previous stint in the Cabinet as Jarl of Defense. Furthermore, he's probably the most knowledgeable, experienced, and connected person in the region when it comes to NSGP. He's long-been involved in the warzones, including a long period as Delegate of Warzone Sandbox, and most recently was Sovereign of the Resistance-era Celestial Union of Lazarus. Furthermore, I've come to realize that we are of one mind on bedrock NSGP issues, and I know that he isn't afraid to do what he feels is right, even if it earns the scorn of those with more power and influence...a trait he shares with our community as a whole.
I feel that he will fill a role that has long-been missing in Wintreath, and I think he will do us proud. Please join me in congratulating him. =]
