I've always loved songs and musical acts that transcend or blend multiple genres, and this is just the perfect mix of metal and reggae. The result is honestly one of the best metal songs out there for me. 

As we're defending our title as rugby world champions in the rugby world cup starting in a few days, I've been listening to a lot of local songs that really bring that South African spirit.

I've been trying to find this song ever since the rugby world cup's quarter finals, when a video was posted on TikTok showcasing France captain Dupont's reaction to their narrow and gut-wrenching defeat to the Boks, which knocked them out of their home world cup. That video used this in the background. It's just beautifully haunting.

EDIT: And I literally just realised this song that was used for the Boks on those TikTok videos, is from the same band. Goddamn, I have just become a massive M83 fan. One shows the depths of despair after a hard-fought defeat, and the other the utter elation after an unexpected victory.

This is what I have up right now: a lofi version of "Secunda" from Skyrim. Not sure it quite stacks up to the original, but it's still nice to listen to for a change of pace.

@Laurentus: That first song is depressing as fuck lol. I can see why it'd be featured on a video of someone losing. :P

@Laurentus: I'm not into metal, I feel like it could be good on a Z-Day soundtrack or something. It'd be a good, more aggressive compliment to the Rebuild soundtrack, which is what I usually listen to while I'm curing zombies:

It's funny how time changes one's musical taste. I hated this song (and the movie in which I first heard it, for that matter!) when I heard it the first time, but rediscovered it thanks to the algorithm gods last year, and have listened to it on repeat a few times since then.

That sounds like me and a few games like Warcraft III and Papers, Please.

Lately I've really been into the cottagecore thing...I think the videos are very relaxing, so the other day I set out to find cottagecore music. After awhile I found a playlist that I liked...at times it sounds like anime music, at other times it sounds like it could be pleasant background music for a video game, but it's relaxing throughout.
