Instructions: Since one of the goals of our festival is to get to know one another, I thought perhaps an ice-breaker might be in order! The way this works is to reveal something interesting about yourself, and also to respond to the post above yours in some meaningful manner...maybe you share this interesting thing with them, or want to know more about it, or just think it's cool.

This way, we get people talking and learning more about each other. And since I'm making the first post, I guess I'll start it off.


Before I came to NS, I was involved in a small-scale MMORPG for eight years...first as a player, then as a server staff member, then as a forum owner, and finally as an owner of the entire game before feeling that it was more drama than it was worth and leaving.

In an earlier life, I was quite the accomplished competitive gamer. My friend and I were ranked in the top 5 in the world in Modern Warfare and MW2. I later became a referee for the league, but I left because of politics. To this day a lot of people tell me I'm unnaturally skilled at first person shooters.

Top 5? That is truly impressive!

My life may not house the most interesting facts, but I have travelled to 23 countries (yes, I counted them) at some point or another when I was young, and I am currently a freshman in college majoring in biochemistry.

By contrast, I've never left the US, and have only been in my home state of West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Like Mooty, I've only ever been around the states.  I've been to Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Florida.

Gaming wise, the biggest accomplishment I made was when I went to Disney world when I was 16.  They had this competitive flying game in one area that I've never played before, and went against about 10 people.  I ended up getting first place. 

I don't know if I've mentioned it to anyone on here, but I like to dive into writing fantasy fiction stories as a pastime when I'm not gaming.  I don't have anything published yet, but I'm slowly working on it.

Traveling is something I greatly enjoy, but I've never had many opportunities for it. Hopefully in the future that will change.

Good luck in college Tomb!  Biochemistry is a great field to get into. I know without a doubt you'll be making a lot more money than me!

I build rockets to launch to space as a hobby hehe. Well and as a career hopefully. I also love playing futbol and frisbee. I can wrap my hand around my head and touch my other ear. So wrap my hand around and touch my ear on the same side of that hand. Freaks people out!

I recently got engaged and my fiancé is (slowly) learning about NationStates!

Like many others here, I really enjoy travelling. Three months of my first term as Delegate of TNP was spent travelling the world, andd I am currently living in Indonesia. Which has been quite an experience.

Living in Indonesia? Any particular reason why?

An interesting fact about me is that I'm not interesting.

I hope to travel one day. I've only been outside the US once and that was to Canada as a baby. And Canada doesn't really count to Americans. 

Anyway a serious fact. Ummm.... I play the trombone! It's a fun time.
