I'm really into the idea, Vatican... Might I suggest that it have kind of a Nordic hall wood theme? The warmth in the darkness look...

Chanku, noted... I might start it somewhere near to the Spawn Point, but not right next to it, if that suits you?

I personally think we may need something at spawn, if nothing else to keep new people safe if they come on at night.

I also agree that Reon's idea is brillant.

I don't mind it being near the spawn, just not at the spawn.

Why?

Simple, it gives the view that there is much to do, and it also makes people want to go explore a bit.

I'm not sure how a small shelter would change that...

Hey guys, I've made a rough start on a hall near the spawn point... it is by no means complete, nor set in stone, so please tweak/edit/change however you see fit!
I've thrown a decent amount of resources into already, but I hope you guys like!

If that's what 'by no means complete' looks like, I can't wait to see what you think complete is.

It's absolutely gorgeous...one of the most beautiful MC buildings I've seen. I'm not sure I could do justice to any additions, but I'm happy to donate resources if I can.

I think that the new building is quite awesome... And I am excited to see it's advances... I have put a map that's been zoomed out twice in an item frame on a wall... Feel free to use it or disregard it or move it... Just thought it might be nice... And also, if you need any resources or help I would love to assist. Just ask.

I'm glad you guys like it... I'm so used to building on Creative Mode, that I thought I might have taken on too much (no flying really makes building epic builds difficult! haha).
I'm thinking of expanding the wheat farm so that there are plenty of food resources, and I've made some Leads, so that I can gather up some animals that I will build a pen for.
I'm also thinking stables? I've put netherrack in the fire pit, but I put the fire out for now because I'm scared of burning the place down haha.
I think I'll work on some more landscaping too!
Any ideas or additions you guys think we should implement?

I've added a more decorative/water-feature front to the hall... still needs tweaking but definitely check it out.

I've also added a water-wheel mill to the left of the hall with more plots for wheat. It's coming along, and has sort of developed beyond my original idea.

I hope it's ok with everyone that it's sort of turning into a bit of a hall plus out-buildings?

That's perfectly alright with me... I'm one of those people who tends to get a bit overboard with spawn locations.

I think it's going wonderfully...just keep doing what you're doing.
