It's been awhile since we've had a new WFE on NS...I think I put together the one we have soon after the split almost two years ago.

I was wondering if there was any interest in putting a new one together. I was thinking maybe we could even have a regular contest...maybe seasonal, every 6 months, or yearly depending on how often we think a refresh would be nice to have.

Any thoughts? Or is the one we have now still fine with everyone?

I really like the idea of a WFE contest. I think that if we were to hold it regularly it should be seasonal and based on holidays. 

For a contest, we'd need a dispatch containing resources for designing one (namely the NScodes), and it'd need to list some basic requirements like the discord link, forum link, and other necessary links. We'd probably want to provide the discord link they'd need to use in the dispatch as well so that way people don't go accidentally putting a temporary 7-day invite link in the WFE.

@The Age of Utopia: Those are great points. I've updated the OP with those, and will include other resources/requirements as we brainstorm.

Also including the traditional Wintreath seasonal calendar here. If we go with seasonal, then we're at just about the right time to do this.

Winter: December - February
Spring: March - May
Summer: June - August
Autumn: September - November

Wintreath WFE Design Contest

It's been awhile since we've refreshed the WFE (the top of the region page with our regional intro, Discord/forum links, etc), so we're having a contest that's open to anyone who would like to try their hand at designing a new one! The submission period will close on November 25th, when voting will take place. On December 1st, the winning entry will be made our WFE thru the end of February, when we'll probably run this contest again!

If you'd like to submit a design into the contest, please make a dispatch with the design in it, and then post the link to your dispatch here on the region page. I will keep track of submissions and make sure they're all included.

Good luck to everyone who takes part! I'm excited to see what creativity you all come up with!
