This is an archive of Wintreath's rules which were in effect from August 2020 to April 2023, provided for historical reference. These rules were modified over time, and thus are specifically from April 2023.

0. Requirements: This server is 13+ in line with Discord's Terms of Service and Wintreath's Code of Laws. Violating Discord's TOS or Wintreath's Code of Laws will result in a ban. Usernames must be mentionable, for example any characters on the QWERTY keyboard.

1. Accounts: Members are only allowed to have a single account on the server. For safety reasons, please ask an Operator or @Wintermoot#6135 :fox: before joining/creating accounts from the same IP.

2. Respectful Behaviour: Members should act respectfully and be considerate of others. Abusive behaviour (guilt-tripping, manipulation, blackmailing, etc.) and harassment is not tolerated, including “indirect” harassment (e.g. vagueing) or upsetting people on purpose. This also includes purposefully trying to upset, provoke, or annoy users.

3. Mature Behavior: Members are expected to act in a measured, socially responsible way. Our community strives for self-control, self-awareness, and accountable and compassionate behaviour; as such, this is also expected from our members.

4. Discrimination:  Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Racism, sexism, using slurs or derogatory terms towards minorities, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, etc. are not welcome anywhere on Wintreath. Advocating or threatening violence toward any group or individual will not be tolerated.

5. Content Policy: Keep content inside appropriate areas, namely Spoiler or Content Warning content. Avoid spamming lots of random words, emojis, pictures, etc. in non-spam channels—no advertising via DM. NSFW content is only allowed in the designated NSFW areas of the server. No graphic imagery anywhere on the server.

5a. Political Content: Overtly political content (e.g. political figures, the gun debate, etc.) is still prohibited unless it explicitly falls into one of the categories listed under the Content Warnings area. All discussions are to remain civil, offending parties will be muted.

5b. No advertising: No advertising on the server. Ambassadors and Wintreath Staff are exempt from this rule for sharing information about events and happenings from their region. Exemptions may be granted by the monarch or the senior op, please contact them before posting.

6. Bug Abuse: Any action which utilizes a bug in any area of the region for advantage or benefit which would not have otherwise been possible to undertake without authorization.

7. Mini-Modding: Do not impersonate Staff or try to take matters of moderation into your own hands. If someone breaks a rule or there’s a situation which requires Operator attention, please ping the @Operator role.

8. Impersonation: Do not attempt to impersonate anyone, especially members of staff or regional government.

9. Penalty Evasion: Do not take any action taken to evade a penalty levelled by the administration from an area of the region, including but not limited to creating a new account to bypass a ban, relogging to bypass a mute, or utilizing Zaphyr's message function to contact people in the chatroom while banned from it.
