No, I thought the timing was odd

Yeah, but there has to be some sort of reasoning why you voted a person other than that it should be a tie.

What do you believe Rag is doing?
So you think I should have waited before revealing he was factually incorrect? Or are you saying you found it odd we were online at roughly the same time?

Day 1 PoE isn't that complex, especially if you're focusing more on eliminating town leans from your pool than creating scum leans. You can see me running Amadeus through this over the course of the day in the other discussions that came up around them but they couldn't make it out of the pool, where as everybody else was comparatively easier to rank closer to town with the exception of trash/saph who was not an option because of the replacement.

Rag just seemed to be normal posting. Nothing really stood out one way or the other. I might be experience biased though.
Well, I guess. To me Rag just seemed to be posting random things, but it seemed to be a D1-thing only, so the read on them is kind of retracted.

  • I know this is the opposite reads list of D1, but I do think Aerso and Neon look worse for the night kill on Saph. Maybe also Dawsinian.

I'm still getting over the fact that I may have self-imposed this restriction for way too long. No, I didn't get any info, scum targeted me to shut me up.

Me doing NL was because I believe LYLO is better than MYLO, yes, and I think Numbers looks good after D2.
This. This really, and I do mean really, bothers me. There's so much wrong here that I don't even know where to start. Let's just address them as they come to me.

1 - How in the blue blazes does Saph being the NK look worse for me? Or Neon? Or Dawsinian? Especially me though. I had just voted for Saph, and Saph returned an OMGUS vote on me. Zero percent chance I pull that particular trigger that night, unless I'm trying some insane power wolf strategy, which isn't out of my wheelhouse, but certainly not something I'd have had the time or energy to try overcoming while my daughter came to spend the weekend with me before school starts tomorrow. And how does it make Numbers look better? Why not bring Rag into this? That's the only name you haven't tossed out yet.

2 - "I broke my posting restriction but I think it was technically over much earlier and I misunderstood the severity of it..." - Not even sure what posting restriction you are referring to with this comment. You met the 5 post minimum D1 and D2, and you didn't exceed 20 posts N1. Scum targeted you to shut you up? You weren't silenced, merely rendered communicatively challenged. There were plenty of ways to get around that punishment. Especially if your words were transcribed 1 for 1 into new words, and repeated usage of the same word always resulted in the same resulting word being substituted. Just type a ton of gibberish words, then see what words get substituted. Now you know which word will result for a bunch of words you could possibly use. From there it's very easy to make an acrostic message. (for example: after discovering that using the word 'vote' results in 'never'; 'I' results in 'eat'; and 'Aerso' results in 'orange' you could have said Vote I Aerso Vote which would have resulted in Never Eat Orange Never. Would have been easy for us to identify the word NEON from that. It's a bit of work, but doable.

3 - You claim that you FORGOT that we were in an infected game and that's why you argue that NL wasn't optimal? Firstly, what difference does it make whether it's an infected game or not? And secondly, it was YOU who started that wagon. How in the world can you forget we're in an infected game when I spent multiple posts speculating that the cause of your speech impediment was because YOU MIGHT HAVE SCANNED AN INFECTED PERSON??

The more you say now that you can speak clearly, the more I'm beginning to suspect that you are one of the infected and are trying your best to sow confusion among our  ranks. First by speaking gibberish, and now by flip flopping all of your reads. It's as if you don't want the town to feel like they can trust anyone (which I know is pretty much the norm for these games, but it's very rare to see an entire reads list flipped backwards so suddenly).
    1. A kill on Saph comes from someone with site meta IMO. Saph hasn't played that much recently and hasn't played with Numbers or Rag before, unless I am mistaken. Killing a replacement player with 3 posts is super weird, unless you know that Saph is a strong player...
    2. Name it "communicatively challenged" or "posting restriction", the fact is that I was restricted in what I could post. I think you have a different system in mind that I did - I used a word randomizer to transcribe words, then put them into a sheet or a "dictionary" of sorts so I could re-use the words. It wasn't just me putting messages into a machine and it outputting it 1 to 1, it was manual. And also, I did re-use the words.
    3. I may have misunderstood the "infected" mechanic, but usually when you infect someone, they join the scum team. So if the scum team starts with two people and infect someone, they have 3 people. Thus, my logic that we should NL in a 4 town v 2 scum scenario wasn't correct, because, according to my thoughts at the time, it could already have been 3 v 3. I realize I was wrong about that, though, as we're here now in LYLO.

A D1 reads list is a D1 reads list. The reads aren't meant to be strong. I would have posted one for D2 if I had not been targeted and you probably would've dropped a spot or two and then by D3 you'd have dropped a bit more. But because I didn't do that, it appears to be a full 180 of my reads list.

I don't see the logic behind why I would choose to speak gibberish D2. I obviously had enough thread-control D1 to attempt to get one of the townies eliminated if I were town, a no-lynch doesn't help me whatsoever as scum - especially if I wasn't particularly scum-read to begin with.

  • And let's face it - your 'transcription' of what you meant to say vs how it actually came out? Easily faked, although probably not. There are a couple of tiny problems I've found with it.

    Quote
Rate lip particle introduce disturbance extend dangerous!

I hope it's warm in there!

You meant to type 6 words, and the gibberish contains 7?

    Quote
Particle confuse session go column run cunning fun barrel fist.

I do not want to risk breaking my post restriction.

In every other instance that you used the word 'I' it was changed to 'rate' - but not here. Your mistake or the hosts?

    Quote
Superintendent trench! Particle introduce shoulder accessible lose!

    Vote: No Lynch

Oh shit, it's mis-lynch or lose!

He word Lose is the same in plaintext and coded... Coincidence or not?
I turned contractions (it's) separate. So the words would be "it is".

The particle-rate mistake was mine. Particle was "it", but I kept forgetting and confusing it with I.

The "lose" was a manual error, I'd assume.

  • i missed that they had just replaced in.
Perhaps Saph was killed N1 because Rag didn’t realize that they had just subbed in for Trash.
This only works if we have a 1-person scum team. I'd be surprised if both missed it, although perhaps it could be so if the team is exactly Rag/Dawsinian.

  • @ENE, you seem aware of how to break your claimed restriction so why didn't you just spam out 20 posts or whatever it was?
What you witnessed was me "spamming", I thought I was to post 20 times to break my posting restriction and I didn't want to spam it because I didn't want to take advantage of the mechanics by spamming stuff like asjkljdksadjsalkdjkl just to get a post in. But as you can tell, I did post a lot of short posts with at least some relevance to enhance the speed of my getting out.

  • I honestly think if Neon was a Seer her D1 result was either town on me or Saph (judging that I am the only town-read in her reads list). She goes out of her way to clarify that her read on Rag is "just vibes". A seer doesn't do that. If you have mechanical information on a wolf, you make up reasons, you vote them and then specify multiple times that it's just a vibe read and nothing concrete.

Also could be a Tracker ability and have tracked maybe me or Saph, which means we could be town, but we could also still be scum. I'm not really sure that the reads list is a reliable lynch source for LYLO, though.

  • Do you not find it odd that nobody was targeted N2 with the gibberish attack like you claim happened with you N1? There’s been a kill both nights, so it’s obviously not an either/or attack.
