i feel like they've consistently gotten heat this game but haven't been kicked yet. To me this suggests that they have someone backing them, so they're a good choice for today in my mind.

  • And saying that I have ‘consistently gotten heat’ is really stretching the truth. Saph voted for me D1 after I voted for them, mainly because I said that I wouldn’t get the vaccine irl. And then ENE threw shade my way during N2 using extremely illogical reasoning. Guess we now know who ENE’s partner is.

Neon was the seer. This was her initial vote yesterday. Good enough for me.

  • i missed that they had just replaced in.
Perhaps Saph was killed N1 because Rag didn’t realize that they had just subbed in for Trash.

  • neon would have pushed me a lot harder if she knew i was scum

why does it follow that if i didn't notice saph was a replacement i would have killed saph?

  • There was talk about not immediately  killing someone who had just subbed in

As for Neon not pushing you harder, I wouldn’t have if I were in her shoes. Why announce that I’m the seer before I’ve identified all of the threats?

  • that talk was over numbers claiming he wouldn't have killed someone who just replaced into the game

    its unrelated to me

the obvious reason to push harder is to get me kicked. There's good reason to believe this is an infection-style game and so getting rid of wolves fast is important. I don't see any reason why neon would ever agree to a no-kick over kicking me if she "knew" i was a wolf. She can support a kick on me without outing herself as a seer. She just has to make up some reason why she thinks I'm a wolf and then push using that reason, then she gets the benefit of potentially kicking me without needing to out herself.

To begin with, do we even know that neon was the seer? "background checker" isn't a term i've ever seen used for that.

  • Neon made the claim, not Numbers. I merely included it in my reasoning because I feel like a lot of players would react the same way.

And it could simply be a case where the scum thought Saph had a power role because TGN encouraged everyone who had voted for Trash to change their votes.

  • Alignment cop, role cop, background checker…

TomAto, tomAHto, it’s all semantics. The very term background checker leads to the obvious conclusion that Neon could gather SOME type of information about her targets. And she chose to vote for you…

  • @Aers, I'm not sure the six words vs seven is really a thing. The sentence structure in question is contraction which normally would be two words so that could easily account for the extra word and the second instance lower shows the same correlating two word pattern where "it's" would be.

The Lose catch is very interesting though since it seems to be the only unchanged word. Could be just a miss though.

@ENE, you seem aware of how to break your claimed restriction so why didn't you just spam out 20 posts or whatever it was?

Neon made the claim, not Numbers. I merely included it in my reasoning because I feel like a lot of players would react the same way.
Are you referring to not killing new players here (ie "claim")? If so that was me after Rag said I'd likely kill them as an inactive before I pointed out they'd be safe as they just replaced in.

  • Yeah you’re right, Neon said she always votes a teammate D1 as scum. I got the two discussions confused

I agree that it sounds like she has an investigative role. I have the privileged position of knowing she didn't have a wolf read on me, and so my take on the situation is going to be biased as a result, but I think objectively speaking it doesn't seem like she was a seer. If she was then I think she would have breadcrumbed more so that people could know her results in the event that she died. A single vote on me that was removed later in the day is too subtle, especially considering neon is the kind of player that tends to throw votes around freely to begin with.

It seems more likely to me that she was something like a rolecop and that she didn't get any info worth claiming on n1.
