I'll also go ahead and make those changes that Moot suggested. Again, I apologize if I came off as rude or ignorant in any way or extent. I was just under the impression that the discussion was under a strict three day span and no other discussion can be had after those three days after the initial draft is posted.

Nah, no rudeness was perceived or intended, as far as I'm aware. And yeah, after the 3 day debate period, technically the Chancellor should call for a motion to vote, extend or table, at least according to precedent, even if not the procedure. I have been an absent Chancellor.

This is correct. A lot of people have jumped the gun with voting.

And since we're still in the discussion phase, I'd like to mention that I think the commendation would be stronger if there were examples of the specific actions Stigya had taken to do those things. How did he revitalize the roleplay community on the RMB? How was he involved in WARPP's selection, retention, and mentoring of players on the RMB to become outstanding Citizens and government members? What's unique about his book compared to other submissions in the Hall of Arts? How has he served in an exemplary fashion as Thane and Jarl?

Stigya is definitely commendable, and there are answers to all those questions (though I don't necessarily know them, especially the ones about WARPP). I think answering them in the commendation would make it much stronger, especially to people who don't know Stigya or his role in Wintreath.

As controversial as the commendation itself was, I still believe that The Chanku Recognitions Act is a model for writing an effective commendation. And I'm not just saying that because I wrote it.

Your recommendations were implemented. I edited the commendation to include more thorough discussions about WARPP's creation of community within Wintreath, as well as giving a finite example concerning the revitalized roleplay community and Stigya's exemplary status as Thane and Jarl of Regional affairs. Hope this is satisfactory, and let me know if it isn't

I don't blame you for being an absent Chancellor, considering that this is the first bill to be written and discussed since the creation of the Landsraad, lol. As Wintermoot noted in the most recent Frosty Bugle, I'm rather proud to be a part of this historical moment for Wintreath

Interestingly enough, a very similar issue regarding the strictness of legislative deadlines was the issue of one of our two past court cases: Chanku vs Pengu (Michi).

I don't think there's any procedure in place for making motions. You're just supposed to open the vote.
