"Damn it, thrall! Must you make me late to every single event I attend?" Prince Beinlaus Pjotursson grumbles as he is hastily escorted to the front entrance of the manor by his servant.
"My apologies, your greatness. In all fairness, however, I am but a mere pastry chef in Hvithaar when I was assigned by your father to replace your normal chauffer..."
Beinlaus sighs and gives the servant a cordial pat on the back, "I apologize for my outburst. This week has simply been stressful for me. Please, let your manager know that you're done early for the night, and have them fetch someone else to pick me up."
With the departure of the still embarrassed, but now grateful servant, Beinlaus entered the manor, unsure of what he was getting into or with whom he will meet.
King Ferrand clinks his glass with his cup and stands up. “Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate a historic agreement of peace. After many years of strife, Baron Lansson of Aronde,” He glances at the Baron who stands up amidst applause. The King continues. “And I have decided to throw aside any hard feelings we had for each other and come together into a new age of prosperity!
“Ah, Castle Eltemplo Masalto. The Final Sanctuary. You know, we were planning to hole up here if things went south! Hence the blast doors you might have seen when you walked in. Thankfully, though, we didn’t have to use them.
“But enough of boring old me! This is a celebration!”
Prince Beinlaus enters as King Ferrand began his speech, calculatedly moving amongst the guests with as little to no disturbance as possible, neither for them or for King Ferrand. He found the bit concerning the blast doors odd, but continued along anyhow, eventually seeing two guests in conversation.
"Yes, we gain our magic from our fae blood. My own great-grandmother was a fairy. We have a large population that live on our biggest island, I would offer to show some but I did not bring any runestones with me. I'm afraid we are not as technologically advanced in the form of cybernetics though. It is something we are working to rectify through education and technological grants but the work is slow." As Princess Asteria talks Asmonidies gives Tarov glares over her shoulder ensuring he does not get to familiar with the princess.
"We're very skill with both biological and technological modification to a body." Tarov says
"I think we could work a deal out." he said "We'd like to study your nation and it's magical properties. We could offer some of out technological prowess in return. We show interest in nations like yours. We can talk about this after the party of course, as this might not be the best place to talk about a offer like this."
"Excuse my intrusion, fine man, but I hear you speak of body modification? This is a subject that greatly interests me, for my youngest brother has a lame leg and requires a crutch to walk."
