"Look at that overachiever," Leigh said pointing at Emily who was saying goodbye to everyone in town. Makenna smiled. "Gonna say bye to mom and dad?" Makenna asked as Leigh shook their head no.
"You know they've never been happy with who I am. You're the golden child." They smiled weakly. "Tell them I love em okay." They headed off towards the car. Makenna looked back at them sadly but walked off towards the house.
Leigh came up to the car where Becky was already in the passenger seat dancing in her seat to some Taylor Swift song. Leigh smiled at her as she slid across the hood of the car and knelt down by the passenger window. "Ready to get out of here little orphan Annie?" They teased.
"Very funny," Becky said, sticking her tongue out.
"No regrets?"
"Well I mean…" her voice trailed off as she struggled to find the words. "I guess I feel bad, but I have no regrets. It's just this town took me in and raised me as their own lil pup you know?"
"Yeah," Leigh smiled "but we need to forge our own path."
"I know," Becky pushed her hair out of her eyes and looked over at the tiny secluded village. "I'm not upset that we're leaving and that's why I feel bad. The safety of the village and the kindness it showed me should feel like something but mostly it's only ever felt like a prison. Everyone always expected me to put on a smile and be happy and I just wanted to do my own thing."
"Yeah I get it," Leigh stood up. "After all, I never did 'act like a lady' and they never liked that." Becky nodded and cranked up the music as Leigh walked towards the back of the car and opened the trunk looking through the luggage and making sure they had everything they needed for the trip. After they were satisfied they leaned against the trunk of the car and looked towards the village center. Everyone seemed distracted by Emily of course. She was always little miss perfect, which might've been why everyone was shocked when she asked the elders for permission to leave the village. Of course she is also probably the reason that permission was granted.
Leigh, satisfied that nobody was looking in their direction, lit up a cigarette and took a drag looking up at the sky. Contemplating what life would be like in the city and how different it would be. Makenna came up with a weak smile "they wanted to say bye Leigh. Mom and dad love you."
"Sure got a funny way of showing it," Leigh said, blowing smoke up towards the sky. Makenna sighed getting into the back seat of the car. Leigh heard the commotion in town quieting down as Emily waved goodbye and walked over looking at Leigh.
"You ready Leigh?" She asked. Leigh nodded her head yes. Taking the cigarette and putting it out on the trunk of the car. She flicked the butt of the cigarette into the woods and got into the back of the car as Emily got behind the wheel.
As the car started rolling away from the village Leigh couldn't help but stick her middle finger up towards it. Makenna gently wrapped her arms around her sister. "You're free," she whispered into her ear.
"Only 353 kilometers to London," Becky said cheerfully.
Welcome to A New Adventure in Old London!
I know generally a game sign-up thread goes up like a week before the game starts but I'm me and I don't do things normally.
Sign-ups will go until I have 18 players or until March 27th the game will begin Monday March 28th at approximately 3 pm CST regardless of when the game is filled.
I am doing this because I want to try to get 18 people to join since that's what I've got the set up for and at least with this length I have time to try to pull in other players if it doesn't fill up, also I want everyone including me to be able to finish up their current Werewolf games before this one starts and I wanted there to be a month between the last game and this one. If we get less than 18 players I can adjust for it. However I've designed for this game to be approachable regardless of your activity even with all the chaos and custom roles... hopefully I think. And hopefully that means we can get enough players!
I just figure game is going to start on the 15th anyways no reason not to get sign ups rolling ASAP even if people can only sign up tentatively until closer to game start.
This is an original Werewolf Story told by yours truly. You can expect chaos, creativity, mind blowing reveals and a game created to be the Hapi It Uppiest! Werewolf Game of all time.
But I wanted to make sure this game was accessible to so in an attempt to weed out the fluffy posts keep the information relevant to the game and keep the game accessible to players regardless of their schedules and activity level their will be a post limit, but don't think that just because there's a limit the game will be any less insane…I am well me after all.
This game has been carefully crafted from the ground up for maximum Hapi ness. It is all custom roles and crazy ideas buuuuut just in case you think I'm getting in over my head for my first ever game as a host I had seasoned Werewolf veterans look over the game and help with balancing for maximum fun times.
With that said this game had 18 slots first come first serve and you are going to want to come because you know you've been waiting for a game by Hapi since the phrase Hapi It Up was borne into Wintreath lore.
So come one come all join the chaos and remember to have fun.
Please clap / play…I'm super excited for this.
